"Wednesday" S1:E3 "Friend or Woe" Quiz

The Nightshades were a social club that lost their charter thirty years prior due to the death of some 'normie' (normal/non-outcast). However, the group continued to meet underground via a secret passageway near an Edgar Allan Poe statue. The group's current leader is Bianca Barclay who is a siren and perfectionist who has a combative rivalry with Wednesday Addams. Wednesday learns that the Nightshades kicked out Rowan Laslow shortly before he attempted to kill Wednesday and was then killed by a monster.

Principal Weems explains to the Nevermore Academy students that Outreach Day is to help foster better relations between the 'normies' that live in Jericho and the outcasts that attend Nevermore. Each student gets an assignment to help a local business. Wednesday sees Outreach Day as forced volunteering.

Wednesday convinces Enid to volunteer at Uriah's Heap after she tells her that her crush, Ajax, is also assigned there. Once inside, Enid is creeped out by all of the deceased animals that have been displayed there in odd settings like a wedding. One of their tasks is to brush the tails of these animals.

Answer: Joseph Crackstone

While at Pilgrim World, Wednesday Addams finds a painting of Joseph Crackstone and a girl that she recognizes from one of her visions. Later in the episode Wednesday touches a fence that triggers a vision where she sees Joseph Crackstone light a barn on fire that had outcasts chained to the floor.

Answer: Fudge

Part of Pilgrim World is called Ye Olde Fudgery and the student volunteers from Nevermore Academy are tasked with selling fudge to customers. However, Eugene eats several pieces of this fudge himself and then gets an upset stomach and eventually vomits on a bully that works there. Lucky for Eugene, Wednesday shows up and defeats the bully and locks him up in a Pilgrim-era pillory.

Seeking information about the town's history, Wednesday desires to get into the museum at Pilgrim World. She asks Eugene for his retainer and he comically replies "What? Why? Your teeth are really good." Once he gives it to her she picks the lock and finds a painting and a replica of a book that she needs to find.

Answer: You rang?

The butler of the Addams family, Lurch, famously said the quote "You rang" on the original 1960s tv series whenever a bell was rung to get his attention. In "Wednesday", Tyler states "You rang" and asks Wednesday if she wants her usual order. She tells him that she needs to know how to get to the area where the town's old meeting house is located.

Answer: Goody Addams

Goody Addams shares a striking resemblance to Wednesday Addams outside of her hair color and she is played by the same actress, Jenna Ortega. In Wednesday's vision Goody Addams is condemned to death by Joseph Crackstone and is locked in a barn with other outcasts including her mother. Goody is told by her mother to escape and fight for outcasts like them.

Answer: Its footprints

After Wednesday had her vision at the ruins of the old meeting house an old man that squats there is attacked by the monster. Wednesday later sees that the footprints change from large, monster-sized to regular human-sized footprints. She tries to show this to Xavier but the muddy footprints end up getting washed away with rain.

Answer: Playing cello

The memorial statue of Joseph Crackstone is set on fire by Thing at the direction of Wednesday Addams. Wednesday had learned earlier on that rather than the hero that the town thinks he is, Crackstone was a ruthless person that burned dozens of outcasts to death.

While everyone else including her bandmates are running away as the statue is being burned, Wednesday keeps playing on her cello.
