2. Tom Hanks presented the first award of the evening. What was it and who/what won?

Answer: Best Art Direction and "Alice in Wonderland"

Presenters are typically kept secret until the red carpet interviews, but knowledge of Tom Hanks presenting was leaked by a reporter two days before the show.

Other nominees in the Best Art Direction category were "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I", "Inception", "The King's Speech", and "True Grit".

7. What song did Anne Hathaway sing that was directed at Hugh Jackman?

Answer: On My Own

Hugh Jackman hosted the 81st Academy Awards and brought Anne Hathaway up onstage to sing with him. Now with Anne hosting, she made a joke about Hugh backing out of singing a song with her at the last minute by singing "On My Own" from "Les Misérables" with painfully obvious hints that it was about him.

"Could We Start Again, Please?" is from "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Maybe This Time" is from "Cabaret", and "Without You" is from "Rent".
8. Javier Bardem was nominated for Best Actor for his role in what foreign language film?

9. For the second year in a row, the Academy nominated ten films for Best Picture. Which film won this coveted award?

Answer: The King's Speech

Answer: Inception

"Inception" won four out of its eight nominations. "The King's Speech" also won four and had the most nominations with 12. "The Social Network" won three and "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Fighter" both won two.
