Answer: "Nobody Wants to Do It Alone"

The song title referred to the fact that two people were hosting the show, something that hadn't been done in about 20 years.
3. Finally, the hosts arrive. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin spent the bulk of their 2010 Oscars opening act roasting the audience. One biting comment involved the both-nominated ex-spouses James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow. Steve joked that James sent Kathryn a gift basket with a timer, and Kathryn reciprocated by sending James ______________.

Answer: A Toyota

With Toyota's troubles with their acceleration pedal recalls, the joke received quite the response.
4. Steve Carell stepped in for someone to announce the 2010 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature with Cameron Diaz. But the teleprompter was not changed (or they played up that it wasn't). What actor did Cameron "mistakenly" call Steve in their banter before the announcement?

Answer: Jude Law

It is unknown why Jude wasn't there, but Steve and his quick wit are a veteran in that role.
5. Tina Fey and Robert Downey Jr. announced the Best Original Screenplay Award for the 2010 Oscars. Robert was specifically accessorized with a bow tie and matching tinted sunglasses. What color were they?

Answer: Blue

His and Tina's banter about the fight between writers and actors and the struggle for control was particularly good.
6. A poignant tribute to the late John Hughes was introduced by two people who played iconic roles in two of his movies. Who were they?

Answer: Molly Ringwald and Matthew Broderick

Molly played Samantha Baker in "Sixteen Candles", and Matthew Broderick had the title role in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Several other actors, including Culkin, Judd Nelson, and Anthony Michael Hall, spoke after the pop culture-laden montage of John Hughes' many movies. All of them recognized John's ability to speak for the American teenager.
7. Ben Stiller goes back to back years in coming onto the stage in full makeup. In 2009, he came out spoofing Joaquin Phoenix, and in the 2010 Oscars, he came out as _____________.

Answer: A Na'vi from "Avatar".

Ben then went on to state that the "Best Makeup" award he was announcing didn't even have "Avatar" as a nominee. "I guess I should have thought that through".
8. Due to the posthumous Supporting Actor award being given to Heath Ledger in 2009, the tradition of the previous year's winner announcing the opposite gender's award was broken. The man who stepped in stated he was honored to be selected to take over these duties. Who was this?

Answer: Robin Williams

Robin won the award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Good Will Hunting".
9. Midway through the 2010 Oscars, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin introduced a tribute to horror movies with a spoof on one of them. What horror movie did they spoof?

Answer: Paranormal Activity

The spoof featured time lapse photography of Steve getting out of bed and punching Alec in his sleep.
10. Rick O'Barry was the co-winner of the "Best Documentary Feature" at the 2010 Oscars. But he will be talked about for longer as the guy who held up the sign that said "TEXT _____________ to 44144."

Answer: DOLPHIN

His documentary "The Cove" chronicles the slaughter of dolphins in Japan and how the meat is being fraudulently used as whale meat.
11. Tyler Perry announced the "Best Film Editing" award for the 2010 Oscars by describing the job of a film editor. In the intro, he said the editor may cut to "what the hosts are doing right now". What were the hosts "doing right now"?

Answer: Relaxing in their Snuggies watching the show

Steve and Alec both look like they had been run through the ringer in the short bump to the hidden camera.
12. Late in the broadcast of the 2010 Oscars, Steve Martin pointed out that Alec Baldwin had been nominated once in his career. What was the movie he had been nominated for?

Answer: The Cooler

Alec Baldwin played William Macy's heartless casino boss with that "slight screw loose" ability that Alec has.
13. The Best Actor Award announcement was prefaced with five people who had previously worked with the nominees. Who gushed about her experience with the eventual winner, Jeff Bridges?

Answer: Michelle Pfeiffer

Michelle Pfeiffer appeared with Jeff in "The Fabulous Baker Boys" and was amazed at his ability to put forth no effort in his acting and still make it all come to life.
14. The 2010 Best Director Oscar went to Kathryn Bigelow- and was presented to her by another female pioneer in Show Business. Who was it?

Answer: Barbra Streisand

Barbra prefaced announcing the winner with the phrase "Well, the time has come.", an homage to the fact that Bigelow was the first female to win Best Director at the Oscars.
15. Tom Hanks presented the final award of the night, the 2010 Best Picture Oscar. But something was odd about his presentation. What made his appearance on the screen unique?

Answer: He never read the nominations before announcing the winner

Since there were ten nominees this year, and they were shown throughout the broadcast, Tom and the producers didn't feel the need to read through them all again. But the announcement of the winner caught a lot of people by surprise, as they were anticipating a longer wait.

All in all, a great telecast. Alec and Steve were not the best hosts in Oscar history, but they were far from the worst.
