Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Before heading off to fight Ganon, Link can access and clear how many Divine Beasts of his corrupting influence?

Answer: Four

Although Link can technically storm Hyrule Castle the moment he flies off the Great Plateau, he's best equipped if he manages to navigate the game's main quest and locate the four Divine Beasts of Hyrule, freeing the spirits of the regional Champions and claiming their gifts and weapons before assaulting Ganon's stronghold.

This means encountering Vah Ruta in the Zora Domain, Vah Rudania on Death Mountain, Vah Medoh in the Rito homeland, and Vah Naboris amongst the Gerudo. Fighting the incarnations of Ganon in each will help Link in the final fight, so it can be very much worth the effort.
2. Link will be directed to the woods north of Hyrule Castle to find the sword of the Hero of legend. Which of these characters will not suggest heading there?

Answer: Purah

As Link travels around from region to region he'll undoubtedly come across villages and their leaders, especially if he's on the hunt for the Divine Beasts in order to free their Champions. In each case, the current leaders of said areas will make passing comments about the sword and its whereabouts, recalling the magical weapon as part of the story of the Hero of legend. All signs will point to the Great Forest north of Hyrule Castle as its last known whereabouts, but getting inside isn't something that they have details about.
3. Which of these can help Link navigate the Lost Woods?

Answer: Torch

Once Link reaches the Great Hyrule Forest he'll find that the woods get foggy pretty quickly, and that fog will easily make him lose his way if he's not careful. To navigate these woods he needs to follow the lights of lit torches through the gloom at least as far as he can. Once he reaches a massive tree marked by two braziers, it'll get a bit harder since there are no further lights to follow.

Instead, he'll need to use a torch, lighting it and standing still to follow the embers that burn off; they'll guide the way by the wind.
4. Arriving at Korok Forest, Link will meet who of these guarding the Master Sword?

Answer: Great Deku Tree

If Link navigates the Lost Woods he'll come across the Korok Forest and quickly find the Master Sword waiting in its place having been left by Zelda knowing that the Hero of Hyrule would return for it after the Slumber of Restoration was complete. Link will have a memory of this sword, but the Great Deku Tree will awaken nearby and speak to him, assuring that it is, in fact, the sword that seals the darkness and that only the chosen knight can wield it against Calamity Ganon. All he needs to do is give it a shot...and survive.
5. How many Heart Containers must Link possess to be able to wield the Master Sword?

Answer: 13

There is a test to overcome for anyone who dares attempt to possess the Master Sword, and as the Great Deku Tree warns, Link will need to be at his strongest to make the attempt or, else, he'll lose his life where he stands. All this implies is that Link requires a certain amount of Heart Containers to be able to pull the sword from its stone-- a total of thirteen to be exact (three of which you start with and another four of which could come from Divine Beasts).

It ensures that the Hero of legend has been making good use of those Spirit Orbs!
6. The only method of storming Hyrule Castle is through the front gates.

Answer: False

When the time finally comes for you to take on the nightmare that plagues Hyrule Castle your only real limit is your resourcefulness because you can, theoretically, approach the structure from virtually any angle using what you have at your disposal. The west, south, and east of the castle are surrounded by the former Hyrule Castle Town, and each compass direction has its own features that might intrigue you in your quest, but approaching from the north can also be a viable option if you have the stamina to climb, fly, and navigate the outer walls.

In any case, how you make your way inside is completely up to you. As a note, coming in the front gates might be the toughest way in, but a battle-hungry player might opt for that route first.
7. Link's goal, ultimately, is to reach which room of Hyrule Castle to start the final battle?

Answer: Sanctum

No matter what approach you take, the end result is always going to be the same: the goal for Link is to make his way into the Sanctum, the large room near the top of Hyrule Castle where the throne would typically sit. It's here that he'll locate Zelda, trapped within her awful Malice prison, and it's there that Ganon will be waiting for his arrival.

When Link steps into the room from any of its multiple entrances, Calamity Ganon will appear and come into full form, destroying the floor and setting Link up to fight in a chamber deep within the bowels of Hyrule Castle.

It's the last stand.
8. If all Divine Beasts are defeated, how much of Calamity Ganon's health will be removed at the start of battle?

Answer: Half

When Link starts into battle with Calamity Ganon, the Scourge of Hyrule Castle, all of his hard work thus far should pay off. To begin, all Divine Beasts cleared throughout Hyrule will result in the Champions being able to contribute their strength, knocking an eighth of Ganon's health off his health bar (maxing out at half of his total health). Additionally, the Master Sword will do additional damage and be unbreakable during this fight, so it's the easy go-to if Link has recovered it. If Link can defeat Calamity Ganon, who'll cycle through attacks brought on by all of his blight forms, climb the walls, and don a near-impervious shield, then he'll burst in into an explosion of malice. ...but it doesn't end there.
9. When facing Dark Beast Ganon in Hyrule Field, Princess Zelda will bestow upon Link what item, needed to defeat the final boss?

Answer: Bow of Light

Though Calamity Ganon will be no more after the fight beneath the Sanctum, Ganon will morph, bringing his final form out into Hyrule Field and becoming Hatred and Malice Incarnate, Dark Beast Ganon. Princess Zelda will bestow the Bow of Light on Link, teleporting him out to the field, and with unlimited Light Arrows and his trusty steed, it'll come down to one last fight. Ganon, at this stage, is an embodiment of an ancient evil, its pure, enraged form.

He has to be beaten. And that's why Zelda will aid Link as much as possible, demonstrating the weak spots on Ganon's sides and belly before revealing his ultimate pain point, an Eye of Malice right on his forehead. To close out the last shot, Link will need to leap into the air in an updraft and fire a single Light Arrow straight into that eye, putting an end to the nightmare.
10. Who will seal Ganon away, bringing peace to Hyrule once and for all?

Answer: Princess Zelda

Once link deals the final blow against Dark Beast Ganon, Princess Zelda will appear as an embodiment of light. Ganon will jet into the sky but Zelda will use her powers and the power of the Triforce to seal him away once again, saving Hyrule from catastrophe and bringing it back to peace. As the sky begins its return to normal around Hyrule Castle, Zelda tells Link that she's always been keeping watch over him, always having believed that he would find a way to defeat Ganon. She never lost faith in the Hero of Hyrule.

With Hyrule Castle rid of malice, King Rhoam and the Champions gaze down at the pair, seeing Zelda and Link depart before vanishing at long last.
