Weaponsmith Ornifex doesn't have a lot in terms of quantity, but as an important smith for boss soul weapons, it's likely that Anna Koval's voice will be heard greeting the player quite a lot.

Alken's voice is deranged, excited and bloodthirsty. Given that Belfry Sol is used for nothing but PvP combat, it is thematically fitting.

Answer: Carhillion of the Fold

Greene's voice is pretty much perfect for an elderly mentor. The script writing complements it almost perfectly as well.

John-Kaman even voiced a line where Sweet Shalquoir laughs at the player's attempt to kill her if they try.

Rosabeth's voice is probably the cheeriest, most optimistic out of any character in the game. Even if the player leaves her without buying anything from her, rather than admonish them like everyone else, she will simply tell them to 'be safe'. If the player does make a purchase before leaving, she tells them she's always in town, and to visit her when the player is around. Very much an anomaly in a game where mostly everything else wants to kill you on sight.

Answer: Prattling Pate

Prattling Pate is first found sitting in front of an open portcullis. If the player walks through, they'll find that they've been tricked, as the portcullis will close behind them right as a group of enemies rush in. If the player figures their way out and manages to return to Pate later, he will feign ignorance and innocence despite obviously having triggered these events. But, he will then reward the player with a White Sign Soapstone, an item integral to multiplayer gameplay, for their trouble.

Answer: King Vendrick

Though hidden behind a good deal of optional sidetracking, Houston's masterful emulation of Vendrick is worth it, especially since Vendrick can give the player a huge reward at the end of the game.

Answer: Licia of Linheldt

It is quite possible that Liz May Brice's anger and death pines are heard most frequently by the average player, due to Licia's deceptive, dishonest and perhaps somewhat irritating character. The obvious exception would be Miracle builds, those who can tolerate Licia robbing and invading them to keep her alive and buy useful goods from her.

The other character McDonald voices would be Chloanne, an NPC merchant who sells the player upgrade materials, infusion items and a couple spells.

Every single time the player leaves Straid, regardless if they bought something from him or not, he will always call them a 'feeble Cursed One'. In the process, he will make sure to inflate his own ego, speaking of his 'magnificence' and constantly challenging the player to handle his 'glorious' spells.

Answer: Lucatiel of Mirrah

Lucatiel can be interacted directly with a maximum of four times. This is done in order from Lost Bastille, to No Man's Wharf, Black Gulch and finally at Aldia's Keep. She can also be summoned to assist with the Lost Sinner, The Rotten, Smelter Demon and Burnt Ivory King.

However, Sarah Beck Mather's performance is mostly what made Lucatiel memorable beyond being simple fodder, as Lucatiel's character development plays into a very compelling story arc. Lucatiel's adventure is largely the same as the player's, and her endeavor of fighting the curse is the exact same. Unlike the player however, Lucatiel will eventually succumb go the curse and plead that the player remembers her name.

This is all convened by Sarah Beck Mather's voice going into Lucatiel's interactions with the player.

As a company, From Software has been producing games since the late 1980s, so it is feasible to imagine that the "Souls" series may have been discussed in the 1990s, but ultimately put off for almost fifteen years in the end.

Tomohiro Shibuya was tabbed the director for the game, as Miyazaki and his team were set to work on developing "Bloodborne". Shibuya was unfortunately removed from his position in the middle of the game's development cycle due to performance issues, and it would be Yui Tanimura who would finish the job in this regard.

Bandai Namco, responsible for the original "Demon's Souls" eventually being released internationally, would go on to stay connected to From Software for the rest of the "Souls" series, "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice!" and "Elden Ring."
