Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Right at the first bonfire, if her questline has been completed, Lucatiel of Mirrah will be waiting for the player here. Her mental state has sadly fully deteriorated, to the point where she will straight up beg the player for help. What does she ask of the player?

Answer: Remember her name

At first, Lucatiel seems to not recognize the player, but she eventually does so. The Undead Curse has clearly advanced many stages within Lucatiel, and here, she fears the idea of going Hollow as a result. Given her deteriorating memory, she begs that the player remember her name, so that she at least still maintains control of her own identity. Sadly, this would be the last time Lucatiel would ever appear, so she presumably either went Hollow or unfortunately died at some point.
2. As soon as the player enters the Keep itself, they'll be invaded by a very amusing, overtly grandiose figure claiming to be the strongest warrior in all of Mirrah. Who is this?

Answer: Aslatiel of Mirrah

In the game's lore, Aslatiel is depicted as the strongest warrior in all of Mirrah, and he is also Lucatiel's brother. As an invader, however, his capabilities are silly. He has no poise to speak of, so any form of damage the player can muster against him will constantly interrupt anything he is doing other than putting his shield up.

As such, a player with a fast weapon can easily just attack him until he dies, and he will usually be powerless to do anything about it. So much for being the strongest warrior in all of Mirrah.
3. The NPC Royal Sorcerer Navlaan can be found imprisoned inside the Keep's destroyed library room. Interestingly, he will only interact with the player under one condition- what condition is this?

Answer: The player is Hollow

He will still speak with the player if they are not Hollow, but all he does is timidly ask them to leave him alone, as not to accidentally provoke his wrath by freeing him. He is much more talkative and devious when the player is Hollow, and if the player is Hollow, they can free him from his bindings.
4. Royal Sorcerer Navlaan has quite the devious questline. What does he ask the player to do?

Answer: Kill other NPCs

In order, he will ask the player to kill Laddersmith Gilligan, Cartographer Cale, Felkin the Outcast and, last but not least, the Emerald Herald. The trump card here, however, is that the player can 'prove' they've completed these assassinations by presenting an item that each of these NPCs drop to Navlaan.

However, each of these four NPCs will give these dropped items to the player without needing to be killed, so it's actually possible to trick Navlaan into thinking they've been killed by bringing him these items.

As such, it isn't actually mandatory to kill any NPCs at all to complete his questline.
5. Royal Sorcerer Navlaan is imprisoned, and the player can free him. However, unless looking for a daunting challenge, the player should leave him to rot in his cell. What happens if he is freed?

Answer: He will invade the player later

Navlaan is easily the toughest NPC invader in the entire game. He has been deliberately spawned near very difficult enemies in each of his appearances, he wields incredibly powerful Hexes, and has a fair bit of HP to boot. He doesn't drop anything notable when defeated, so there's nothing to gain by freeing him from his cell. If freed, he will later invade the player towards the end of Aldia's Keep, later in the Dragon Aerie, then the Dragon Shrine, then finally at the Forest of Fallen Giants.
6. It's difficult to find, but there is an illusory wall found fairly deep into Aldia's Keep. What lies behind it?

Answer: A bonfire

A nice, simple checkpoint could be useful. This is especially the case if the player is having a difficult time with the area in general.
7. If the player wanted to level up multiple Boss Soul weapons, they'll need the extremely limited Petrified Dragon Bones. There is one enemy with a drop rate on this resource, who is it?

Answer: Dragon Acolyte

There is but one single Dragon Acolyte who has a 10% chance to drop a Petrified Dragon Bone on defeat. Players are advised to unlock the area's second bonfire, as it resides very close to this enemy and makes farming it much, much easier than without the bonfire.
8. There is one NPC summon for this area, an NPC making a return. Who is it?

Answer: Sellsword Luet

As before, Luet wields two greatshields and has the Red Eye Ring, making him more easily attract enemies away from the player. He is a Phantom, thus will not be summonable if the area boss is defeated.
9. Who is the boss of Aldia's Keep?

Answer: Guardian Dragon

This is the very same dragon seen at Heide's Tower of Flame, given a much larger arena and more health to compensate for being late game. It's still on the fragile side and is horribly weak to Lightning, making this a straightforward fight.
10. The boss soul of the area can be converted into the Spitfire Spear. The Spitfire Spear is unique among just four Boss soul weapons for one trait- what trait is this?

Answer: It can be powerstanced

Joining only the Dragonslayer Spear, Smelter Sword and Eleum Loyce (curved sword), the Spitfire Spear can be powerstanced alongside other spears, including the aforementioned Dragonslayer Spear if desired.
