Carnivores primarily eat meat. This can add a little bit of reward for claiming victory in PvP matches, as your dinosaur can use the opponent to get an easy meal once the fight is over. Survival of the fittest!

Though edible mushrooms would be acceptable in a real world context, in this game, mushrooms are simply used as quest items and not as consumables. Unlike carnivores, herbivore dinosaurs cannot consume the corpses of fallen enemies slain in PvP. On the flip side, since they can use various bushes across the game, herbivores have more flexibility in maintaining their hunter level than carnivores do.

Answer: Sarcosuchus

Sarcosuchus are fairly weak on land, but are extremely deadly in water. They can remain underwater for several minutes before needing to surface, their movement speed puts the rest of the roster to shame when in water, and their attacks do much more damage if used in water, or if used as it leaves the water.

It is very feasible to ambush large adult dinosaurs, such as a Tyrannosaurus, and kill them before they even know what happened.

Answer: It's footsteps are particularly loud

At launch, the Albertaceratops had easily the loudest footsteps in the game. As one of the heaviest dinosaurs in the game, this makes sense, but it also makes sense due to how the dinosaur is meant to be played. Like the Stegosaurus and Triceratops, the Albertaceratops has the ability to use its horns and charge into enemies.

The Albertaceratops has both the slowest and hardest hitting charge attack of the three, so making it extremely loud was likely an attempt to balance it.

Answer: You cannot instantly quit out of the game

When accessing the menu to leave the game, the player must remain on this menu for sixty seconds. They can quit out before this time elapses, but their dinosaur will simply remain standing in place until the time properly passes, at which point it can finally leave the game world.

This mechanic was likely intended to prevent scenarios such as the one depicted in the question from robbing a player of their well deserved victory.

Answer: Collect acorns

Acorns, mushrooms, twigs and all sorts of plants make up a series of several different super exciting fetch quests. All you'll have to do is go to one point, collect an item, then bring it to a different point the game has identified. To complete one quest will require anywhere from 12-50 of these items, and will pay out experience points accordingly with the quantity of items collected. You just have to do this about three or four dozen times or so until you're finally an adult. Thrilling!

Answer: Body of water at 95% capacity

This game is absolutely massive, so it stands to reason there are bits and pieces that don't have any collectibles nearby. Additionally, randomly generated corpses can spawn all over the map. These aren't corpses of other dinosaurs, and they fill the hunger bar significantly less than other players would, it's likely a maneuver made to prevent a dinosaur from starving if they simply cannot defeat another player in combat. As such, this isn't any sort of indication that someone is near. Neither is a collapsed tree, as this is simply a spot where acorns can be delivered for a quest.

Water sources in this game refill very quickly. For a body of water, lake or puddle, to be at 95% capacity means someone had to have drank from it recently. Perhaps you should look over your shoulder while in the area.

Answer: A carnivore and herbivore team up

If you and another player are both playing as carnivores or herbivores, you can invite one another to a group. Here, groupwide quests become available and you'll be able to track each other on the game's mini map. If you and the other player are a carnivore and a herbivore, however, the game simply does not allow this. To try and work around the problem, the players will simply need to manually stick together and assist each other as needed.

Over the course of this game's lifetime, Mixed Packing has generally been frowned upon due to it being extremely damaging to the game's immersion. After all, a carnivore and herbivore dinosaur would certainly not team up in a real world context.

Answer: Bring a trophy into the Home Cave

Collectibles unfortunately disappear into thin air upon entering the Home Cave, as they're only meant to be used for quests.

In order to obtain a trophy, the player must either kill an adult dinosaur, or boldly swoop in once someone else has achieved this, search the fresh corpse, then dash back to the Home Cave with the spoils.

Answer: The dinosaur will shed its skin

Slowly but surely, the old skin will be shed in favor of the new one. The player can do this as many times as they'd like.
