Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Even getting to Beelzebub in the first place can be extraordinarily difficult. The Wicked King's door is found in the Hall of Hell, which certainly lives up to its moniker. Every time the player takes just a handful of steps in the Hall of Hell, what happens?

Answer: Their entire party HP is halved

After just about ten seconds of walking, a full health party can have HP in the single digits due to this mechanic. As well, enemies can still attack, they seem to be completely unaffected, so the player will need to have an embarrassment of healing riches in order to even make it to Beelzebub.
2. The player will likely not want to even bother with this fight until end game. What level is Beelzebub?

Answer: 90

The player does need to defeat the level 77 Trumpeter to get here, so it's likely they aren't too far off being ready at the very least.
3. Beelzebub starts the fight off flexing his might and revealing his propensity to get out of control offensively. What boosting move can he use?

Answer: Focus

Focus applies a 2.5x modifier to the next physical attack the user wields. Obviously, this can have massive impact when wielded by a being like Beelzebub.
4. Loading the team up on immunities and resistances is far from a guaranteed way to defeat Beelzebub. What irresistible, unblockable spell can Beelzebub use?

Answer: Megidolaon

The tried and true nuke Megidolaon cannot be resisted or rendered immune by any means in this game. It deals Severe damage as well, so anytime Beelzebub uses it, it will leave a mark. Incidentally, he will use it much, much less if the player has nothing immune to Physical on their team, though this would then open themselves up to his Focus boosted attacks, mandating a need to 'pick your poison'.
5. Beelzebub is a walking tank. How much HP does he have during his boss fight?

Answer: 76,000

This is by very, very, very far the most in the entire game up to this point. The game's previous Fiend, Trumpeter, had just 11,000 HP, giving Beelzebub nearly seven times the mark.
6. Beelzebub, like the Fiends who served him, is immune to Light and Dark, as well as Ailments. Does he have any other immunities?

Answer: No

The player has likely been conditioned to just expect bosses will be immune to Light, Dark and Ailments by this point. That will do them well here, as they can meaningfully damage Beelzebub with anything else.
7. By far the highlight of this fight comes within Beelzebub's signature, fully exclusive move Death Flies. Death Flies is a guaranteed instant-kill unless the target is immune to what two elements?

Answer: Light and Dark

Death Flies is basically Megidolaon, only with a Mahamaon/Mamudoon packed in to it. As well, the insta kill aspect cannot possibly fail unless the target is immune to both Light and Dark. They will still take Megidolaon-esque damage however, so simply being immune to the insta kill aspect hardly makes the player particularly safe.
8. Certain unique insta kill spells, such as Trumpeter's Evil Melody, cannot be blocked by Tetraja, a move intended to block insta kills. Does Tetraja block Death Flies' insta kill?

Answer: Yes

While Tetraja will indeed save a victim's life (assuming they don't die to the damage itself), this is ineffective in the long haul. As Beelzebub gets lower and lower on HP, he will use Death Flies more and more to the point where he's basically spamming the spell and using it twice per turn. Tetraja only works once, so the second casting of Death Flies would be the finisher.
9. Acquiring Beelzebub for the player's use is very different from acquiring demons normally. Rather than fuse Beelzebub, what does the player need to do to get his "true form"?

Answer: Undergo evolution

Beelzebub comes to the player in his "human" form. Aesthetically, his wand is a lot smaller, his skin is blue and he greatly resembles a blue version of Blanka from "Street Fighter", just with less hair.
10. In order to acquire Beelzebub's "True Form", what level must the player be?

Answer: 91

At 84, Beelzebub's "Human" form can be fused. It then must be levelled up seven times to undergo its evolution. In doing so, Beelzebub will acquire the Victory Cry ability, one of the most notoriously overpowered passive skills in "Shin Megami Tensei" franchise history.
