Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where is Daisoujou's spawn point?

Answer: Ikebukuro

In the East Wing of Ikebukuro's mall is where Daisoujou can be found. As like his predecessor Matador, Daisoujou is in a pretty random spot, so players likely will be caught off guard in discovering it for the first time.
2. Like with our first Fiend Matador, Daisoujou has a purpose in hunting the player down. What does he want from them?

Answer: To grant them a 'merciful' death

Daisoujou will begin by asking if the player has been "seduced by darkness", implying that their aim to become powerful via creating Demons is a heinous act. Daisoujou does initially seem concerned that the player is headed for a dark end on the path they're on, and calls himself a "guide".

He views death in this context as something of a mercy of sorts, and this is the catalyst for their ensuing fight.
3. Daisoujou comes out swinging with one of his signature moves straight out of the gate- Meditation. Meditation is basically a powered up version of an attack the player can access. What is Meditation an improved version of?

Answer: Life Drain

Life Drain steals a tiny amount of HP and MP from the target. Meditation, predictably, saps quite a noticeable amount of both HP and MP should Daisoujou successfully hit the player or their allies with it.
4. Like Matador, Daisoujou is immune to insta-kill powers as well as Ailments. Daisoujou also has his own immunity for the player to consider. What else is he immune to?

Answer: Mind

Mind has been a difficult element for the player to obtain at this point in the game anyway, so it isn't terribly likely that this will become an issue. As Daisoujou uses Mind magic himself however, the player would be well suited to figure a way to defend against this themselves.
5. When second phase begins, Daisoujou will bust out the big guns in one of his other signature, and this time entirely exclusive, attacks. He will begin to use Preach, inflicting Mind damage on all targets at once. It also has a side effect. What else can Preach do?

Answer: Afflict random Ailments

Preach can potentially afflict targets with Charm, Stun, Panic or Mute. Each of these four would be extremely detrimental amidst this boss fight, so the player absolutely must have some consumable items on hand to deal with this.
6. As it happens, unlike Matador, Daisoujou has a third phase. When this starts, things will truly get wild now as he will begin to spam Startle every turn. What does Startle do?

Answer: Gives him more actions per turn

During third phase, Daisoujou will go from being able to act twice to four total turns each round. Being able to spam the deadly Preach skill can make third phase quite difficult just to survive, much less actually deal damage back to him.
7. Like Matador, Daisoujou can potentially join the player's team. For this, they'll need to obtain a Deathstone. If they recruited Matador, they'll need to do some rather tedious work to grab an extra one for Daisoujou. Where can the game's second Deathstone be found?

Answer: Second Kalpa

The Second Kalpa is a very intricately designed labyrinth of sorts that can be difficult to properly navigate. It has multiple traps, powerful enemies, meddlesome NPCs and a deliberately confusing layout. As such, locating this second Deathstone can prove challenging.
8. Daisoujou can be recruited at a minimum of level 37. What Kagutsuchi phase must it be for this to be possible?

Answer: Between five and seven

By performing a Night fusion between Kagutsuchis five and seven, the player can create and subsequently recruit Daisoujou. It is not too different from needing a Yoma fusion between Kagutsuchis one and three to create Matador.
9. When fighting for rather than against the player, the player can discover Daisoujou has one last exclusive, signature move- Prayer. What does Prayer do?

Answer: Fully heal the team and remove Ailments

It's hardly surprising Daisoujou can't use this as a boss fight, as this would make him completely impossible to defeat due to his high HP bar. Nevertheless, Prayer is easily the best, most defining part about Daisoujou, making him an incredible cleric.
10. When working with the player, Daisoujou can more freely make use of the feared Mahamaon and Mamudoon insta-kill spells. What is the rate of success, not factoring in weaknesses or resistances, for these spells?

Answer: 40%

If the target is weak to these skills, the success rate becomes 60% while it is halved to 20% if the target is resistant. Sadly, insta-kill powers aren't as strong in this game as they are in the "Persona" series. Still, if the player was ever inclined to try to get a demon in this game to use them effectively, Daisoujou offers one of the best, if not the single best ways to do this.
