Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where is Pale Rider's spawn point?

Answer: Asakusa

Pale Rider can be found by entering Asakusa, going past the first blackened passageway, taking an immediate left, heading down the stairs and taking another left. Note, he will only be here if the Horsemen before him, White, Black and Red Riders, have been defeated. The player also must progress the story to the point where Sakahagi comes through the area.
2. Pale Rider's appearance may be most distinct by his melee weapon of choice; where White used a bow, Red used a sword and Black used a scale acting as a catalyst, what does Pale Rider use?

Answer: Scythe

Given that the Grim Reaper, a popular figure in folklore and modern halloween or horror media, is mostly depicted wielding a scythe, Pale Rider looks most alike him, and is arguably the most recognizable of the Four Horsemen.
3. Every Fiend, Pale Rider included, is immune to Light and Dark. Pale Rider is immune to Ailments as well, and adds a fourth to the fray. What else is he immune to?

Answer: Ice

Pale Rider frequently uses Mabufudyne, so he may end up showing his hand to a perceptive player.
4. Fighting Pale Rider amidst a New Kagutsuchi is extremely inadvisable due to a passive skill he has that powers him up greatly during this time. What skill is it?

Answer: Dark Might

Dark Might allows any Physical skills used during a New Kagutsuchi to automatically hit critically. The reasons the player won't want to deal with Pale Rider constantly critting them probably don't need much explanation.
5. While a New Kagutsuchi makes Pale Rider especially deadly, things get no better if it's a Full Kagutsuchi. What skill buffs Pale Rider here?

Answer: Bright Might

Bright Might does the same exact thing Dark Might does, only for Full Kagutsuchi instead of New. As such, the player will simply want to ensure the Kagutsuchi is between 2 and 7 before beginning this fight.
6. Pale Rider's Blight skill deals very little damage, and this may cause the player to let down their guard a little and stop taking him seriously. However, if used enough, Pale Rider can potentially follow it up with an insta kill the player can't dodge. What skill is this?

Answer: Pestilence

Pestilence is an insta kill move that will immediately kill anything that has been afflicted with the Poison status effect. It cannot be dodged or nullified by Tetraja, ensuring a swift death upon use against Poisoned targets. Blight is a skill that deals pathetic damage, but has a high chance to Poison the target.

Naturally, the synergy between these two should be clear. The player must make sure to come with plenty of Dis-Poisons, lest they want Pale Rider to ravage their team.
7. Sleep is typically a double edged sword; inability to move, but passive HP and MP regen. Against Pale Rider, however, he has a skill that makes Sleep extremely deadly. What can he use in this regard?

Answer: Eternal Rest

Similarly to Pestilence, Eternal Rest is a skill which instantly kills a sleeping target. Similarly to Pestilence, it cannot be dodged nor blocked by Tetraja. Unfortunately, Eternal Rest, unlike Pestilence, can potentially fail to kill a full HP target with the Endure skill, instead reducing them to 1 HP.

This is because Sleep, unlike Poison, heals instead of damages. However, these scenarios are quite rare.
8. At this point of the game, Deathstones can be hard to come across for the player. However, if they've got some Macca on hand, they can purchase a Deathstone to make Pale Rider with. How much Macca will they need?

Answer: 100,000

Pale Rider's defeat gives the player 10,000 Macca, so unless they were dead broke beforehand, they'll already have at least a decent amount of progress towards attaining this.
9. What level is required to recruit Pale Rider?

Answer: 63

This one comes just two levels after Black Rider, the previous Fiend.
10. What Kagutsuchi phase must be in effect for Pale Rider to be available for fusion?

Answer: New

Because of how the Riberoma skill and Attract Pipe items work, the New phase will allow the player to fuse Pale Rider and then immediately start optimal level grinding with him if they so choose.
