Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Auditory cues are critical for this boss fight. When Trumpeter says "alas, my soul fades like the setting sun..." what does this mean?

Answer: He has the lowest relative HP on the field

Trumpeter has two exclusive moves - Holy Melody and Evil Melody, and these moves cannot 'target' anything traditionally. They will automatically go after the unit on the battlefield which has the lowest relative HP on the field. Obviously, as a boss, Trumpeter has a lot more total HP than the player or their units, so 'relative' in this context refers to how much of a percentage of health is remaining in the user's bar.

If all of the player's team is at completely full HP, and then someone damages Trumpeter in any way, even for a smidgen of health, he would then be at the lowest relative HP on the field. This would prompt him to say the quote stated in the question.
2. "Cower at the arrival of death!" is the cue that Trumpeter is going to use his first exclusive move, Evil Melody. He will always use it how many turns after saying this quote?

Answer: Eight

Evil Melody targets the unit on the field with the least relative HP. When used, whoever this unit is will be immediately killed. No resistance, immunity or statistic can prevent this, and it cannot be dodged even if the user is at -4 Accuracy and the target is at +4 Evasion. The only way it can be survived is through the use of an available Endure passive, which would allow the victim to survive the blow with 1 HP to spare.

Unfortunately, Trumpeter cannot kill himself with this skill. Of course, it may be viewed as silly to imagine a boss fight in the late game could end in such a way.
3. "Behold the salvation of the Lord!" is the cue that Trumpeter will use Holy Melody. What does Holy Melody do?

Answer: Fully heal HP and MP

Trumpeter can indeed cast this one on himself, but he could also be prompted to cast this on one of the player's allies. This makes it a good idea for the player to try and keep a teammate very low on health. Obviously, maintaining this in the face of a powerful boss such as Trumpeter will be hard.

But if the player cannot manage this, Trumpeter and his 11,000 HP will be getting a full refill.
4. Contending with Trumpeter's exclusive skills is a mighty task as it is, but it's only half the fight. Trumpeter can buff himself to threaten the player with what boosting move?

Answer: Makakaja

Trumpeter has an enormous Magic stat to begin with, so even just one Makakaja can let him start dropping the player's teammates like flies. Keeping Tarunda, Rakukaja or Dekaja on hand to defend against this would be a good idea.
5. Trumpeter can bomb the player with all sorts of different elements, proving to be the ultimate magical challenge. What type of magic is just one of many elements he can use?

Answer: Almighty

Trumpeter can use the tried and true classic Megidolaon, or he can turn to Mabufudyne, Maragidyne, Mazandyne or Maziodyne if the player's team has a weakness one of those can exploit. Paired with a stupidly high Magic stat and Makakaja, and Trumpeter isn't just a one trick pony with his Melody skills.
6. Trumpeter is no slouch, defensively. How many immunities does he have?

Answer: Three

Trumpeter being immune to Light, Dark and Ailments means he cannot be killed by insta kill magic in any way, making him consistent. For someone as offensively talented, even being just 'good' defensively is enough to make Trumpeter one of the best demons in the game.
7. Trumpeter truly is a gunslinger, with by far the highest Magic stat to this point of the game. When initially encountered or recruited, what is Trumpeter's Magic stat?

Answer: 31

Red Rider's Strength of 26 was the previously highest seen stat to this point of the game, as a point of emphasis to showcase just how powerful Trumpeter is.
8. Unsurprisingly, Trumpeter is an end-game Fiend the player will need to be a very high level to recruit. What level?

Answer: 77

77 is eight levels higher than the previous Fiend, Mother Harlot. It is just fourteen levels lower than the highest demon in the entire game as well.
9. What type of fusion is required to recruit Trumpeter?

Answer: Tyrant

The second Fiend to need a Tyrant fusion, Trumpeter is privy to some excellent skills.
10. Trumpeter has the benefit of being available for fusion during a very useful Kagutsuchi phase. What phase is this?

Answer: Full

Full means the player can add a third demon to the fusion needed to create Trumpeter. This means the player can give Trumpeter any three skills they could possibly want, ascending Trumpeter's potential to limitless heights.
