Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Lucifer can only be fought if the player achieves one specific ending. What ending is required to fight Lucifer?

Answer: True

The other five endings of the game simply have Kagutsuchi appear as the final boss. Kagutsuchi still fights the player on the True Ending, but here he is merely an opening act for the real deal.
2. In order to achieve the ending needed for Lucifer, what must the player do before they enter the Tower of Kagutsuchi?

Answer: Complete the Labyrinth of Amala

If the player even so much as sets foot inside the Tower of Kagutsuchi before finishing the Labyrinth of Amala, Lucifer's fight will become permanently inaccessible along with the True ending to the game. To be clear, the player must get to and defeat Metatron, then view a cutscene with dialogue with the Old Lady and the "little master." During this dialogue, they must tell her "yes".

This will set them up for the True Ending.
3. Lucifer doesn't just appear out of nowhere- it turns out he's been in the game since the very start, hidden in plain sight. Who was Lucifer disguising himself as?

Answer: Louis Cyphre

Lucifer's true reveal just before his boss fight starts is truly enthralling. Just before it would seem the game is set to fade to black and roll credits, he tells the player he has a need to see their power for himself. The way it's presented isn't in such a way where the player would think he'd immediately stand from his wheelchair and challenge them, but this is what happens - and then some.
4. Lucifer has by far the most HP out of any boss in the entire game, and it's not close. How much HP does he have?

Answer: 650,365

To put this into perspective- if the player got the absolute best possible team conceivable, got the best luck imaginable and laid into Lucifer as much as humanly possible, the most damage they can possibly do to him in a single turn, with absurd luck the player should never hope to get, would be slightly less than four thousand- they'd then need to repeat this scenario of extreme luck approximately 160 times to win the fight!
5. Lucifer's defensive profile perfectly complements his HP bar. What does Lucifer resist?

Answer: Everything

After eleven years of producing games, this would be the first time Atlus ever made a boss resistant to Almighty. Indeed, Lucifer resists everything and anything the player can possibly throw at him. This makes the Pierce skill highly desirable for this fight, as this would let anyone carrying the skill ignore Lucifer's resistance to Physical.
6. Even Lucifer's basic attacks can be quite threatening, as they do not deal Physical damage. What type of damage do Lucifer's basic attacks deal?

Answer: Almighty

Because of this, it is impossible to resist Lucifer's basic attacks. They also have an above average critical hit rate, making them potentially quite nasty.
7. First phase is relatively tame. Second phase kicks things into a new gear. Lucifer gains access to a few new toys here. What's one of them?

Answer: Megidolaon

Unsurprisingly, this iconic nuking power finds its way onto Lucifer's moveset. It's just as devastating as you'd imagine it to be in his hands too, and can easily blast the player's team apart.
8. Joining Lucifer's repertoire for second phase is one of his exclusive moves- High King. In addition to simply deal damage, what else can High King do?

Answer: Be undodgeable

Even if Lucifer's accuracy has been debuffed to -4 and the player's team is all at +4 Evasion, High King can never miss. It deals Almighty damage too, so it cannot be resisted either. Keeping offense debuffs on Lucifer, or defense buffs on the team, to mitigate its damage is highly recommended.
9. Undoubtedly Lucifer's scariest move, Root of Evil can inflict a myriad of different maladies onto its targets, entirely randomly. What is one of the things it can do?

Answer: Inflict a random ailment

Every ailment in the entire game has an equally small chance of being attached to targets of Root of Evil. In addition, Root of Evil can deal damage equal to 10%, 50% or even 90% of the target's HP bar. The 90% part is why keeping the team healthy at all times is so important, as this could easily wipe out an ally, or even the main character thus ending the game, in an instant if they had taken even slight chip damage prior.
10. After Lucifer's defeat, he will proudly anoint the player as the new general, of sorts, of the demons. He will triumphantly tell the player that their next fight is with their "one true enemy." Who is the "one true enemy"?

Answer: God

In the franchise's lore, one running constant is within Lucifer's backstory. He is always depicted as a being who is actively amassing power that he will one day use to challenge God. As such, God is apparently the enemy of the demons, which in this case will include the player.
