Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where can the player locate Matador's spawn point?

Answer: Great Underpass of Ginza

Matador is found in the middle of a random hallway. The way it is positioned, however, the player cannot progress the story until they defeat him.
2. Matador has a specific purpose for hunting the player down. What does he want from them?

Answer: A menorah

Specifically, Matador wants to take the Menorah of Sovereignty. He challenges them to a duel, with the stipulation being that the winner claims the menorah.
3. In terms of magic, what is Matador's element of choice?

Answer: Force

During his first phase, Matador will frequently spam Mazan to weaken the player's team. By purchasing and equipping the Hifumi Magamata, the player can greatly restrict Matador's ability to use Force spells since Hifumi will null them.
4. Matador cannot be harmed by Force attacks, so he has a Null for the player to consider. Is he weak to anything?

Answer: No

Fortunately, other than his immunity to Force, Matador does not have any other resistances. So even though he has no weaknesses, the player has plenty of options to at least deal respectable damage to him.
5. Matador has two signature moves. He will always open the fight with one of them, Red Capote. What does Red Capote do?

Answer: Maxes Matador's Evasion/Hit Rate

This skill ends up being Matador's main gimmick, as he will use it both to open the fight and as he enters his second phase. This can make the early going of the fight particularly challenging, especially if the player doesn't have a Sukunda or Sukukaja user.
6. Matador has a high amount of HP for the point in the game he's fought. How much HP does Matador have?

Answer: 1,800

The game's previous boss, Forneus, had just 400 HP, making this a massive 4.5x hike.
7. As it happens, Matador can join the player's team and fight alongside them. What key item will be required to achieve this?

Answer: Deathstone

With a Deathstone, once the player defeats Matador themselves, they can then acquire his services if they perform a Yoma fusion in between Kagatsuchis 1-4.
8. Whether for or against the player, Matador's Andalucia skill is to be feared. What does it do?

Answer: Simply deals a lot of AoE damage

If using Matador and you are ever unsure of what to do, simply clicking Andalucia has a way of making problems disappear, especially if those problems come in the form of a group of enemies. It deals Medium damage 1-4x. This makes it slightly inconsistent; however, the worst case scenario is simply dealing good, but not great, damage to all enemies.

The best case scenario is getting it to hit four times and likely killing everything. On top of that, it can even hit critically!
9. Matador's mob-slaughtering talents can be put on full display, both fighting against or potentially alongside him. He can quickly soften the opponent by halving their defense, using what skill?

Answer: Taunt

If the player is using Matador, they will want to be careful before just blindly clicking Taunt. On top of halving the enemies Defense, it will double their Attack, allowing them to hit back hard. Using Red Capote ahead of time to max Matador's Evasion would be a good idea to minimize the drawback of using Taunt.
10. Matador is available at a surprisingly low level to join the player. What level must they be to acquire his services?

Answer: 30

At level 30, Matador is easily the single best ally the player could possibly ask for. He is capable of providing brutalizing offenses, helpful utility, and he is immune to three elements while possessing no weaknesses. He is a bit on the 'selfish' side since Red Capote only buffs himself, but for how powerful the buff itself is, this is easily worth it.

If you have the opportunity to create Matador, doing so will give you a party member you will likely never, ever want to remove from your team. Unless, of course, you feel he is making the game a bit too easy.
