Answer: Margit's Shackle

As Margit and Morgott the Omen King are the same person, this item can also be used on the latter. When deployed, a foreign symbol of some kind will appear directly under Margit, trip him and root him in place briefly. It will fail to work during the second phase of Margit or Morgott, and they will be briefly immune to its effects once the Shackle wears off, essentially a cooldown of sorts.

Answer: Tiny Music Box

Once per encounter, the player can use the Tiny Music Box once Gascoigne hits his second phase and stun him for a long period of time, roughly several seconds. Alternatively, the player can use the item to instead ramp up the challenge rather than curb it- by using the Tiny Music Box while Gascoigne is still in his first phase, he will immediately enter second phase regardless of how much health he has.

Answer: Covenant of Artorias

The Covenant of Artorias is a ring, acquired by defeating Great Grey Wolf Sif. Without it, the player cannot even begin to fight the Four Kings. As well, if the player takes it off at anypoint during the fight, their character will instantly die.

Answer: Frozen Flower

Fortunately, the player doesn't have to really go out of their way to get this, as they'll need to go through the Shrine of Winter to progress the base game anyway. Players without the Frozen Flower can still be summoned to help a host who has the item, but only with it can the player head into the area by themselves.

Answer: Peculiar Doll

The Deacons of the Deep boss is fought at the Cathedral of the Deep. To get there, instead of traveling through Farron Keep to eventually arrive at Irithyl, the player will need to detour, taking a left from the Crucifixion Woods, defeating the Crystal Sage, and simply proceeding forward from there until they arrive at the cathedral.

Answer: Freezing Pot

In order to craft the Freezing Pot, the player will need to first obtain the Glintstone's Craftsman Cookbook 6 to gain access to the recipe. Once that's done, the player will need two Rimed Crystal Buds and an empty Ritual Pot. The player can carry a maximum of ten Freezing Pots at a time, while being able to store up to 600 in their storage chest. Ten is more than enough for a clever player with good reaction skills to consistently stagger Malenia out of her Waterfowl Dance for the entirety of the fight.

This would be largely important, as doing this will trim the difficulty of this fight by a lot.

Answer: Gold Pendant

The Gold Pendant, when crushed, becomes the Gold Bloodgem. It can be uniquely equipped into any Blood Gem slot on any weapon, giving it a lot of flexibility. When equipped, it improves the player's general damage output against all beast enemies, boss or not, by 12%.

It is unique for buffing the damage output of even weapons that it isn't specifically attached to, provided that the weapon it is attached to is equipped. For example, equipping it on a melee weapon will improve damage dealt with Firearms and vice versa.

Answer: Soul of Artorias

If the player rejects her offer and then leaves the area again, she will be gone and won't return. They can reject her offer and then change their mind before leaving. Either doing that or accepting her offer from the get go will grant them the Dark Silver Tracer and the Gold Tracer.

The latter is unique for being just one of two weapons in the game to inflict Toxic build up on its targets. Unlike the Gravelord Sword, the Gold Tracer is incredibly fast and will be capable of applying Toxic very quickly, which can serve to trivialize quite a lot of would-be difficult boss fights in the game. Meanwhile, the Dark Silver Tracer is the only curved sword in the game to deal split damage without needing to first be infused- this isn't as broadly useful as the Gold Tracer, but against foes resistant to slashing damage, the Dark Silver's partial magic damage output can come in handy.

Answer: Storm Ruler

Upon equipping the Storm Ruler, the player's light attack is now replaced with the Storm Ruler's combat art, which will involve the character winding their arm back by a fairly extreme amount as the weapon builds up power, then slamming it in the direction the player is facing.

A large blast of wind will be fired, dealing tremendous damage to the Storm King and annihilating any smaller manta ray enemies. Unfortunately, the Storm Ruler only does this during this boss fight, and is extremely useless outside of this specific fight.

Answer: King's Ring

Unfortunately, the King's Ring doesn't actually do anything in combat, so the player will want to equip this, have the door to Throne Watcher & Defender opened, then take the ring off before proceeding to fight them. The Ring can be found in a small room after Velstadt the Royal Aegis has been defeated.

The player will find a hollowed version of King Vendrick aimlessly wandering the room where the King's Ring can be found.

Answer: Lordvessel

The Lordvessel is given to the player by Gwyneviere, Princess of Sunlight. In order to reach her, the famously difficult fight against Dragonslayer Ornstein & Executioner Smough must be overcome.

Answer: Stonesword Key

These items are consumed on use, cannot be crafted and are finite. As such, the player should use them cautiously, as some important items, such as Smithing Stones, are only found in dungeons where this key is needed to access them.

Answer: Fragrant Branch of Yore

Straid is first seen petrified in his prison cell- the Fragrant Branch of Yore would be used to unfreeze him, enabling him to then deal with the player. Weaponsmith Ornifex has been essentially kidnapped and locked inside of a remote room within the Shaded Ruins. To free her, the player must locate a petrified Lion Clan Warrior, unfreeze him, kill him and then loot the Fang Key that he drops.

The player can then take this key over to where Ornifex is being held, unlock the door, and they can then visit her home in the Brightstone Cave Tseldora where she can now sell the player items and convert certain Boss Souls into equipment.

Answer: Pungent Blood Cocktail

The cocktail will distract the beast for roughly several seconds, as the beast will walk over to the area it was thrown and begin to randomly attack the area until the effect wears off. The player can gain an easy backstab here, leading to a visceral attack that can help provide them with a boost.

These cocktails can either be purchased for one Insight each at the Messenger's Shop (not recommended) or a small handful can be looted off the corpse of a wolf found in Old Yharnam.

Answer: Coiled Sword Fragment

This item is found inside the Flameless Shrine. Oceiros the Consumed King and Champion Gundyr must be defeated in order to access this area. While the player could use this item for its intended purpose, it can also be traded to Pickle-Pee and Pump-a-Rump in exchange for a Titanite Slab.
