1. What was the name of the woman Jesse ran past in the opening montage?

Answer: Mabel

A radio broadcast was recapping previous events as if it were a newscast. The show mentioned Eugene was missing, God was expected to be at church on Sunday and that Jesse was sought by the police. Jesse at that moment ran past an elderly lady and screamed "Hi Mabel" as the police cars came up behind him.

Flashing back to the old west like the show has done many times, viewers got another glimpse at the "old man" who heretofore hadn't been named. To answer the question I didn't expect others to pause the show and count the flag, but 38 is the only viable option. There was never an American flag with 5 stars, and 13 stars would have been easy to spot. 52 isn't anywhere near correct as even in present day when the show aired there were only 50 stars on the flag. The stars correlate to the number of states in the U.S.

The scene started showing a girl drawing a heart in the frost on the window of the ski lift. There is a discussion about how "he" didn't want to come. Turns out that the "he" was Odin. After snapping a family picture the cable snapped and the car went flying down the cliff.

When he shot Lacy with the paintball, she stepped back, fell into an underground sewer and died.

In the flashback Jesse was shown to be a child, between 8- and 10-years-old. His father, John, was the preacher at the time and publicly whipped Jesse. He picks up a few letters that had fallen off of the sign and then puts them back in place. As the camera pulls back the sign with the name can be seen. The song "Time of the Preacher" by Willie Nelson was playing over the scene.
