"Preacher" - Season 1: "El Valero" Quiz

The scene started showing a girl drawing a heart in the frost on the window of the ski lift. There is a discussion about how "he" didn't want to come. Turns out that the "he" was Odin. After snapping a family picture the cable snapped and the car went flying down the cliff.

The men walked into the church, which was shown, but the second the fighting started the camera showed only the outside of the church along with a flashes of gunshots.

The men left the church, without their weapons, and had to explain that the Preacher had bested them all.

Two episodes earlier Jesse had screamed at Eugene to "go to hell" and he disappeared. While he was sitting in the church in this episode, Jesse pleaded to God to save Eugene. A few seconds later he started to dig himself out of Hell. Turns out though that Jesse was imagining Eugene's appearance at the church, he hadn't really brought him back.

She adopted a dog named Bruske from the local animal shelter. The man running the shelter told her that they were all good dogs as she was picking out which one she wanted.

She later used the dog as food for a creature she had hidden away.

Jesse agreed to let the two angels remove Genesis from him if they were willing to save Eugene from Hell. They agreed, and sang a song to get Genesis to leave Jesse's body. Genesis escaped again quickly after and wound up back inside of Jesse.

Tulip had adopted the dog earlier in the episode. She opened the door to a room in the house she was staying in, sent the dog inside and cursed Jesse while the viewers heard what sounded like a vampire eating the dog.

In the previous episode Jesse had attacked and presumably killed Cassidy, a vampire. The viewers didn't get to see Cassidy directly in this episode though, so a twist that some other creature killed the dog could come in the last two episodes of the season.

Mayor Miles Person told Emily that Odin's attempt to take over the church was not only legal, but it was best for the community. While trying to prove his point, he told her that Jesse was a criminal and had proved that finally by shooting at people.

Answer: Donnie

Donnie, who had several previous encounters with Jesse, knew that Jesse had the power to control someone's actions with his voice.

While the men were preparing for one last assault on the church, Donnie put his head in a car trunk and shot a bullet into the trunk, making it so that he wouldn't be able to be controlled by Jesse.

Odin, himself named for a Norse god, told Jesse that he was in fact serving god completely. He was following Jesse's order from a few episodes earlier and "serving god" just not the God that Jesse assumed.

He referred to his god only as the "God of meat" and not by a name.

Retelling the scene that was shown several episodes earlier from a young Jesse's point of view, this time the scene is told from Odin's point of view. After the accident with his family he performed his own autopsies on them all and found none of them to have a soul. That spurned Jesse's dad to go speak with Odin.
