Question 1 of 15
1. In this game, you need to transform the name of a tree into that of a dog breed (or, in one case, vice versa) by adding one word, then subtracting the letters of another and finally unscrambling the result. Mind that you always have to add letters first, the subtraction may involve letters you just added (like the ARR in the example). Be very careful with tenses and singular/plural in the definitions - you need them!

Example: To see the dog barking up the HOLLY, we send in a female Stephen King character to replace a young wizard, getting Lassie's breed.

We begin with HOLLY.
Then add CARRIE (the Stephen King character who is "sent in") for HOLLYCARRIE.
Now remove the letters of HARRY (the young wizard "to replace"). The result is OLLCIE.
Finally, unscramble the result to find out that Lassie was a COLLIE. You probably knew that anyway, however.

Now let's start:

Wildly barking up a JUNIPER to indicate a discovery, this hunting dog can be found by playing a single musical sound and driving out a month.
