8. Diana Dors starred in the Alfred Hitchcock production "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", in 1961. Why was this show never broadcast by the NBC Network for which it was made?

Answer: It was deemed too gory for viewers sensibilities

The half hour long episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" was based on the novel of the same name by Robert Bloch, who also wrote "Psycho" (1959). The final scene has Diana's character, Irene, being brutally murdered, and was deemed too much for the viewers, so the network refused to show it.

"Prince Charming" reached number one in september 1981, and spent twelve weeks on the UK Singles Chart. It was the second of the band's three UK number one hits. This was to be one of Diana's last appearances on film, as a year later she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which would eventually lead to her death in 1984, aged just 52.
10. In 1983, Diana Dors had a regular slot on the "TV-AM" breakfast television show in the UK. After some time she became the show's Agony Aunt, but what did she do originally?

Answer: Diet and nutrition

Diana had gained weight as a result of her cancer treatment, and had written a diet book, and made an exercise and nutrition video. This led to her joining TV-AM to do a regular feature on diet and nutrition, which later led to her becoming the Agony Aunt. Sadly, her cancer returned, and her appearances lessened as her illness progressed.
