Although Diana's mother Mary was married to Albert Fluck, she admitted that she had an affair with their lodger, Gerald Lack, and was never certain which of them was actually Diana's father. Diana was named Diana Mary Fluck when she was born in Swindon, Wiltshire, in 1931.

"Prince Charming" reached number one in september 1981, and spent twelve weeks on the UK Singles Chart. It was the second of the band's three UK number one hits. This was to be one of Diana's last appearances on film, as a year later she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which would eventually lead to her death in 1984, aged just 52.
