'Gold Raiders' was released in 1951. The Stooges starred in this movie along with George O'Brien. O'Brien played an insurance salesman who cleaned up the western town of Red Mesa to make it safe for miners. The Stooges played cowboys who helped O'Brien throughout the film. Shemp was also in 'Soup To Nuts', but they were not yet the Three Stooges. They were still Ted Healy's Stooges.

The space agency's latest attempt to launch a rocket into space had failed, and Mr. Morse (Jerome Cowan) laid the blame with Dr. Ingred Naarveg's fuel formula. Janitors Moe, Larry and Curly Joe wanted to help their friend Ingred, and broke into the laboratory at night to concoct their own special brand of fuel.
Wrecking the lab in the process of pumping the fuel into the rocket, the Stooges founnd themselves on the run from Morse when he stumbled across their latest disaster. Hiding in the rocket, they accidentally launched themselves into space on a collision course with the planet Venus, where they found a giant flame-breathing tarantula, and a talking unicorn whom they befriended. Also waiting for them was a computer brain that controlled the planet, which planned to create robot replicas of the Stooges and conquer the Earth.

5. Of these movies, which was the only one to have featured Curly as the third stooge?

Released in 1945, Larry, Moe and Curly starred in this 67 minute feature. This was a comedy/musical made to entertain the fighting men overseas at the time, as well as the rest of the population on the home front during World War II. This was the first time the Stooges received top billing and starred in a feature film.
While Rusty Williams was away at Agricultural College, his prospector cousin Shorty (Moe Howard) filled in at Rusty's struggling Reno NV spread as the ranch foreman. He spent his time looking for an angle at the Wagon Wheel Cafe Casino, and hooked up with two vagrants (Curly Howard, Larry Fine) after they accidentally won big at roulette.
Along with two stranded New York singers and their money, the Stooges and the girls headed for the ranch with prospecting plans. Rusty returned home with hope that investor Sam Clemens would save the ranch's cattle and mining operations, and found Shorty and the gang's plans interfering. Complicating matters further, inept ranch hands (The Hoosier Hotshots) mistook Clemens for a cattle rustler, and Shorty, Curly and Larry cooked up a scheme to get the girls an audition with a vacationing Broadway producer.
