Answer: "The Godfather: Part II" (1974)

While the two greats spent less than ten minutes together onscreen in this movie, they spend no time together on their last movie: "The Godfather: Part II" (1974). The reason for this is that De Niro was cast as a young Vito Corleone (appearing in flashbacks) but Pacino was cast as his son Michael approximately thirty years later.

Answer: "NYPD Blue" (1993)

In what was somewhat of a breakthrough role, Amy was cast as Officer Janice Licalsi, opposite David Caruso, in the first two seasons of "NYPD Blue" (1993). "Heat" was probably her biggest movie role before regular TV show appearances on "Judging Amy" (1999) and "Private Practice" (2007).

Answer: "Batman Forever"

Val Kilmer took over as Batman from Michael Keaton whose had played in the first two movies, "Batman" (1989) and "Batman Returns" (1993). Kilmer was himself replaced by George Clooney in "Batman and Robin" (1997).

*SPOILERS* Shiherlis was the "lucky" one who escaped jail/death but it cost him a life together with his wife and child.

Answer: Ashley Judd

Ashley Judd had a small but acclaimed role in "Heat" She became better known as Carla in "Time to Kill" but had star billing in "Kiss the Girls"(2002) as Dr Clair McTiernan" and as Libby in "Double Jeopardy" (1999). The other actresses were all Academy Award nominees around the same era: Hilary Swank won Best Actress for "Boys Don't Cry" (1999), Toni Collette was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in "The Sixth Sense" (1999), and Kristin Scott Thomas was nominated as Best Actress in "The English Patient" (1996).

Answer: "Saving Private Ryan"

While Sizemore specialises in playing tough guys such as Sgt Horvarth in "Saving Private Ryan", you saw a more "human" size of Sizemore in "Heat", perhaps his most accomplished role.
Tom Hanks starred in all four movies listed ("Band of Brothers" was a TV mini-series) and while Sizemore only appeared in one of them with Hanks, Barry Pepper appeared in two ("The Green Mile"(1999) and "Saving Private Ryan" (1998)).

Answer: Boomtown

Mykelti Williamson is well known to TV audiences in "CSI: NY" (2005) and "24" (2007). He runs the risk of being typecast as he has appeared on cop shows such as "Starsky and Hutch" (1975) and " Hill Street Blues" (1981). Arguably, his most remembered role was playing "Bubba" opposite Tom Hanks (again!) in Forrest Gump" (1994).

Answer: "Chicago Hope"

Diane Venora played Vincent Hanna's (Pacino) wife and has had a long history of stage acting in particularly "Hamlet" where she has played Ophelia with Kevin Kline, Gertrude with Ethan Hawke and even Hamlet himself.
Her "breakout" movie role was in "Bird" (1988) playing Charlie Parker's wife, Chan. From this role she was nominated for a Golden Globe.

Answer: Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman's third film was the critic's delight, "Beautiful Girls" before she went onto the "Star Wars" prequels (1999, 2002, 2005). In between these there were three critically acclaimed movies, "Anywhere But Here"(1999),"Where the Heart Is" (2000), and "Closer" (2004). She received her first Oscar nomination for the latter movie.

Answer: "Enemy of the State"

In "Enemy of the State", Voight plays a cold, scheming, murderous, bureaucrat. Before these two roles, Voight's most memorable roles were in "Midnight Cowboy"(1969), "Deliverance" (1972) and "Coming Home"(1978). In the latter movie he won an Oscar for Best Actor.

Answer: Tone Loc

Tone Loc has appeared in over 20 movies including "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" (1990) (admittedly as a rapper) and "Ace Ventura, Pet Detective" (1994). As a singer we won an award (Favorite Dance New Artist) on the American Music Awards in 1990. His most popular song is "Funky Cold Medina" (1990).
