Managed by Jimmy Hart, The Glamour Girls were comprised of Leilani Kai and Judy Martin. The WWF Womens Tag Team Titles had actually been in existence since 1983 but the powers that be decided to bring the championship mainstream in late 1987. The Glamour Girls regained the belts in June 1988 and the titles were done away with in late 1988.

February 5, 1988 will always be remembered as the night that Ted Dibiase brought the WWF Heavyweight Title, albeit very briefly. The other bouts saw Randy Savage triumph over WWF Intercontinental Champion The Honky Tonk Man by count out and Strike Force successfully defend the WWF Tag Team Titles against The Hart Foundation. Due to this loss The Harts dropped in the rankings and thus Demolition was given the Tag Team Title match at "Wrestlemania IV".

Allen Coage aka Bad News Brown was a very accomplished Judo Master and won a Bronze Medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in Canada. Brown had a reputation as a legitimate tough guy with a sour disposition and never let anyone push him around. It is rumored he was one of the only men who ever got the legendary Andre the Giant to back away from a fight.

The late Rick Rude fought to a time limit draw against Jake Roberts in the first round.

The Polynesian Sivi Afi had been a jobber with The WWF since mid 1986 before becoming the third member of The Islanders. In order to look the role of a legitimate "High Chief" Afi agreed to have over 2/3 of his body permanently covered in tattoos. Tama immediately departed and Haku and Afi wrestled as a tag team very briefly before Haku became "King" in July 1988.

In the one televised match the three wrestled together one of the jobbers they faced was a young Steve Blackman who would be a star a decade later in "The Attitude Era".

Concerns really arose on a segment of "The Brother Love" show when Dibiase stuffed money into Ventura's jacket pocket.

In the end Ventura did count a three count on Dibiase although Randy Savage helped him with the final slap of the mat.

Known as "The Canadian Lumberjack" Jos LeDuc was known as "Butcher" LeDuc during his brief stint in the WWF during 1988. Managed by Frenchy Martin LeDuc lost by disqualification to Tito Santana on a segment of "Prime Time Wrestling", this was his lone highlight. Why he wasn't given a bigger role is unknown as he had been a very successful wrestler in JCP, Mid South and Jerry Lawler's CWA.

Originally The Honky Tonk Man, Ron Bass, Danny Davis, Greg Valentine and Bad News Brown were to take on The Warrior, Beefcake, Sam Houston, The Blue Blazer and Don Muraco. Several weeks before the event Muraco left the WWF when he was unable to come to terms on a new contract. With a hole in the team veteran Jim Brunzell was added as the fifth man, he did little and was the first eliminated on the team.

In a big swerve and the first time the WWF ever pulled a double switch, Mr. Fuji betrayed Demolition for The Powers of Pain. Late in the match the Powers were left alone against The Champions Demolition and the jobber team of The Conquistadores. As Smash attempted a move off the ropes, Fuji opened them up and Smash fell outside. Hitting the concrete very hard Smash was counted out and when Ax confronted Fuji, the altercation became physical.

As Fuji lay in pain The Barbarian and The Warlord helped him up thus signaling the whole thing had been a ruse.
