Dean Thomas was considered good at art work. When Harry won the Quidditch cup, Dean had decorated all of the common room with banners showing Harry with a world cup and others showing the Gryffindor symbol.
Dean Thomas otherwise was a DA member; his best friend being Seamus Finnigan. In the "Half-Blood Prince", he was also the boy-friend of Ginny Weasley.

Gellert Grindelwald was one of the most powerful wizards in the magical history. In his childhood and adolescence, he used to be a great friend of Dumbledore. But gradually both developed different ideas, and slowly turned against each other. In childhood both had an aim to get the deathly hallows.

But later, Grindelwald wanted to capture muggles while Dumbledore did not want the wizard community to use their powers over muggles. So Dumbledore ultimately defeated Grindelwald in a battle, and Grindelwald now had to go to the prison he himself had created, called Nurmengard, which he had constructed to capture muggles and enemies.
