Flitwick is the charms teacher at Hogwarts and head of Ravenclaw house. He is apparently "the shortest person at Hogwarts". Pomfrey is not the head of any house while Snape is the head of Slytherin house for Harry's first six years. Dumbledore was the headmaster till the sixth book.

The Malfoys were known for their proud attitude and hatred against muggles and mudbloods and so the whole lot were in Slythrin. The same was with the Blacks but there was one exception and that was Sirius who ended being in Gryffindor. On the other hand, the Potters and the Weasleys loved muggles and mudloods and all of them were in Gryffindor.

Ron and Hermione were Gryffindor prefects and Draco was Slytherin prefect. Harry was not a prefect but was equally treated because he was the Quidditch captain. At first, he was also taken aback by it but later he realised that he was the best in his year.
