Lima is the capital of Peru and its largest city. It was founded in 1535 by the Spanish conquistador Francisco Pissaro. It lies on the coast of the Pacific Ocean and is famous for its many beaches.
2. The plastic construction toy "Lego" derives its name from the Danish phrase "leg godt". What does this translate to in English?

Answer: Play well

Lego is a plastic construction toy manufactured in Denmark. It was the brainchild of Ole Kirk Christiansen and production of the basic plastic blocks started in 1949. From a simple start Lego has branched out over the years and has produced many themed sets including space, pirates, robots and dinosaurs.

There has even been a film released in 2014 ("The Lego Movie") which has spawned a number of spin-offs.

Answer: Portsmouth

Portsmouth is a city port in county of Hampshire in the south of England. It is home to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard where Horatio Nelson's famous flagship is housed as an important and popular tourist attraction. It is best known for its role in the Battle of Trafalgar, the naval battle which Nelson won but at which he lost his life.

Potatoes are the chief ingredient of many other dishes including one of my favourite dishes from Spain, the tapas staple Patatas Bravas.

Partridges are grouped in the genus "perdix" which comes from the Latin word for partridge. They are medium size gamebirds which nest on the ground and their diet consists of seeds, insects and leaves. They live in groups known as coveys. In Greek mythology Perdix was the nephew of Daedalus.

He was changed into a bird by the goddess Athena when his uncle tried to kill him in a fit of jealousy by throwing him off a high tower. It is said this is why partridges avoid high places and nest on the ground.

It is written in diary form and centres on the traumas of being a teenage boy in the 1980s. Pandora Braithwaite arrives at his school and he is immediately attracted to her.

The pair start dating but have a rocky relationship and eventually break up for good. The book spawned several sequels ending with "Adrian Mole: The Prostrate Years" which was published in 2009.

"The Herbs" was an animated children's television series made by the BBC in the late 1960s. It was part of the "Watch With Mother" series of programmes. Each character was named after a herb and the main character was "a very friendly lion" called Parsley.

Other characters included Dill the Dog and Sage the Owl. It was filmed using 3D stop motion model animation and in all 13 episodes were made. Parsley appeared in his own spin-off show "The Adventures of Parsley" which was originally aired in the early 1970s.

"Travels with Charley in Search of America" is an autobiographical account of John Steinbeck's 1960 road trip around the United States of American in his camper van "Rocinante" (named after Don Quixote's horse) in the company of his pet dog, a standard poodle named Charley.

The trip took him on a journey of almost 10,000 miles and took approximately 12 weeks. On a personal note I recently read this book as it was chosen by my reading group and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

"Groundhog Day" is a 1993 film centering on the Groundhog Day Ceremony held every year on February 2nd in Punxsutawney, Central Pennsylvania which decides if Spring will arrive or Winter will continue. Bill Murray plays an arrogant weatherman who gets caught in a timeloop and finds himself reliving the same day over and over again.

The idea of the groundhog tradition is based on a Dutch Pennsylvanian superstition. It is said that if the groundhog sees his own shadow Winter will continue for six more week but if he does not Spring will come early.
