Woodrow Wilson was the first incumbent US President to visit the UK. He came in December 1918, where he met with Prime Minister David Lloyd George and King George V. His visit at the end of WW1 was part of the diplomatic interactions with the principal allied powers and was prior to the Paris peace conference which took place at the Palace of Versailles in Paris in 1919. Neither Roosevelt visited the UK when they were US Presidents and Harry S. Truman visited the UK in 1945.

2. Which duo's combined average book sales is the greatest?

Answer: William Shakespeare and Agatha Christie

Shakespeare and Christie totally dominate with between two and four billion sales each. Their average three billion combines to an average of six billion.

Harold Robbins has racked up around 750 million and Barbara Cartland tallies between 750 million and 1.25 billion, giving a combined average total of 1.25 billion.
J K Rowling has about 500 million whilst Stephen King stands at between 300 and 250 million. Their combined average is 825 million books sales.
Both Patricia Cornwell and Tom Clancy have sold 100 million each.

Michael Joseph Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana, USA on the 29 August 1958. He was the eighth child of the Jackson Family. In 1964 he made his professional debut as part of the Jackson 5 with his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito. They had five number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with their first five hits.

Michael went solo in 1971 and had 13 number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in the 20th century. He made the world's best selling album "Thriller" (1982), with in excess of 47,000,000 copies sold world wide. He courted controversy during his life with accusations of child molestation but was found innocent in court. He also went to extremes in altering his body with plastic surgery. He died of cardiac arrest at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California on 25 June 2009 aged 50.

Lembas is the Elfin bread eaten by Frodo and Sam, among others, to help sustain them on their way to Mordor.

Lavasha from Armenia and Lefse, which is Norwegian, are flatbreads of basic flour, water and salt although Lefse also contains potatoes.
Dave's Killer Bread is an American, organic breadmaking company which helps society by employing ex-criminals through its Second Chance Project. Dave's Killer Bread is a great name but I hope, unlike Ronseal, it doesn't do what it says on the packaging!

The girls were driving a red Volkswagen while Evelyn was driving Ed's Ford LTD. When Evelyn told the girls that she had been waiting for that spot, one said, "Let's face it lady, I'm younger and faster than you are!"

She rammed the car six times, almost totally destroying it. When the girls came out of the store and saw the damage, one said, "Look what you've done! Are you crazy?" Evelyn replied, "Let's face it, honey, I'm older than you are and have more insurance than you do." Then she drove away.

Answer: King George VI

King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, planned a visit to Canada in 1939. Upon hearing about this, President Franklin D. Roosevelt invited them to extend their visit to the USA. The King and Queen spent five days seeing New York and Washington D. C., including a visit to the Roosevelt's estate in Hyde Park NY. There they were treated to a picnic which included hot dogs and strawberry shortcake.

King George III was king during the American revolution.
Queen Victoria reigned from 1837-1901 and is the second longest reigning monarch after Queen Elizabeth II.
William I reigned from 1066-1087 and was known as William the Conqueror.

Originally from the Venetian language, it is used as the greetings hello or goodbye. "Ciao" actually means "I am your slave". It comes from the Venetian phrase s-ciào vostro or s-ciào su and the Medieval Latin sclavus meaning slave.

The 1929 novel "A Farewell to Arms" written by Ernest Hemingway, which is set in northeast Italy during World WW1, has been credited with bringing the word into the English language.

Paul Shane plays Colonel George, Lord Meldrum's butler Alf Stokes in the sitcom "You Rang, M'Lord" which ran for 26 episodes between 1990 and 1993. Paul Shane, Su Pollard and Jeffrey Holland starred in three sitcoms together during the 1980s and 1990s, "Hi De Hi", "You Rang, M'Lord" and "Oh Doctor Beeching".

Paul Shane was born George Frederick Speight in Thrybergh near Rotherham, Yorkshire, UK, in 1940. He used to be a miner at Silverwood colliery and was an amateur singer/comedian until 1974 when he turned professional after an injury at the colliery. Having recovered from a heart operation, he died after a short illness in a hospice in Rotherham, Yorkshire, UK, in 2013 aged 72.

On July 20, 1969, a lunar module containing Armstrong and Aldrin set down on the surface of the moon. Collins remained in the command module Columbia. Armstrong was the first to step onto the moon's surface followed by Aldrin 19 minutes later.

Jim Lovell was the commander of Apollo 13. In the 20th century only 12 people have ever walked on the moon.
