Tarpon Springs is famous for its large Greek population and once-thriving sponge industry.
2. Which of the following is a city and not an unincorporated area?

Answer: Safety Harbor

The other choices have their own post offices, but are not actual cities.
3. What is Pinellas County's smallest city?

Answer: Belleair Shore

Belleair Shore occupies one side of Gulf Boulevard and has 50 homes. Due to a procedural error, the town was reported as having a population of zero in the 2000 census.
4. What is the newest city in Pinellas County?

Answer: Seminole

Seminole was founded in 1970.
5. This city absorbed the smaller city of Pass-a-Grille.

Answer: St. Pete Beach

St. Pete Beach only recently changed its name from St. Petersburg Beach in order to distinguish it from the much larger city of St. Petersburg.

Answer: Belleair

Belleair's beautiful bluffs overlook Clearwater Harbor and reach a height of 47 feet, dwarfing the city's most famous resident - Hulk Hogan.

By 1961 the county's population had grown so much the decision was made to keep the county seat in Clearwater.

Gulfport was also called Bonita and Veteran's City before finally ending up with its current name.

Answer: Dunedin

Dunedin High School is the only high school in the county to have bagpipers in its marching band.
