Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This will guarantee that you get no points in "Sushi Go". What a raw deal!

Answer: Only playing wasabi cards

A set of two tempura cards will earn you five points.
A set of three sashimi cards gets you ten points.
Dumpling card increase in value the more you have.
Wasabi cards without nigiri score nothing.
2. Your points will magically disappear in "Five Tribes: The Djinns of Naqala" by doing this.

Answer: Spending money

In "Five Tribes", money equals points. Hopefully the value of the action that you do is worth more than the money (points!) that you gave up.
3. So you choo-choo-choose lots of negative points in "Ticket To Ride"? Here's what you should do.

Answer: Take as many Destination Tickets as possible, completing none

While all of these are considered bad strategies, blocking your opponents will still give you points.

Playing no trains onto the map won't help your score, but it won't directly hurt your score either.

Having tons of Train Car cards is fun, but worth nothing if you never play them.

Not completing Destination Tickets will send your score plummeting, and the more that you don't complete, the worse your score will be.
4. If you don't want to settle for points in "Settlers of Catan", do only this:

Answer: Attain the most Resource Cards

While cities, largest army, and longest road will give you two points a piece, hoarding resources, especially more than seven of them, may be very detrimental to your game.
5. How can you make sure that you stay sad and blue, getting negative points in a round of "Azul"?

Answer: Take tiles that will only fit in your Floor Line

It's ok to have incomplete rows and columns of tiles; they're still worth points.
Five tiles of the same color will get you 10 points!
The Floor Line will only give you negative points, so beware, and choose your tiles wisely.
6. If you want your game of "Wingspan" to never take off, try this method.

Answer: Have the most bird cards in your hand at the end of the game

Bird cards are worthless unless they are played onto your mat.
7. In "Zooloretto", which one of these will make you a bad zookeeper, and give you negative points?

Answer: Having an animal in your barn

Having animals in your barn is worth -2 points per species.

Everything else is perfectly fine, right? At least in the game it is.
8. You're feeling like a carcass in "Carcassonne", and now you are trying to achieve a score of zero. How can you do that?

Answer: Have all meeples in fields with only incomplete cities touching the fields

As long as you have a meeple on an incomplete road, city, or monastery, you will score points for it at the end of the game. Fields with no complete, adjacent cities are worth nothing.
9. You're playing "7 Wonders" and you wonder what affords negative points. Which one of these will take your score down?

Answer: Having a much weaker military than your neighbors

Complete wonders are always good.
Having a strong military may be even better.
No scientific structures is a real shame, but it won't take your points down.
Losing a military battle will always get you -1 point.
10. You've come to the end of your game night, and the only thing that you can handle is a round of "Blokus". Which of these would be a good opening move to make sure you can't get the best score possible?

Answer: Play your smallest piece

You can play almost anything that you want on your first turn, but you won't get those extra five points if you don't save your smallest piece for last.

So go ahead, play the smallest piece first. Winning gets tiring.
