Kawada gets Shuya and Noriko inside the clinic, then jams the door with a broom handle to keep it from opening. Shuya then carries Noriko to the bed, and lets her rest, while they try to find some medication for her.

Shuya's parents were killed in a car accident, and he had to go and live at the orphanage, where he was cared for by Ms Anno. Shuya was unusual, in that he was there because his parents were killed; most children were there because they were illegitimate. Kuninobu was one of the illegitimate children, and neither of his parents had wanted to take responsibility for him when he was born.

Answer: Satellites

Shinji and Yutaka write notes to each other because Shinji has worked out that there are microphones in their collars, and that Sakamochi and the guards can hear their every word. Both Shinji and Yutaka have trouble with the spelling on their notes. Yutaka has to copy Shinji's spelling of "monitoring", but he still spells "device" wrongly. Shinji then goes on to spell "satellites" as "satallites".

Kaori was the seventh corpse Sho had seen since the game began. He also saw the bodies of Yumiko and Yukiko, and the bodies of the rest of Kiriyama's "gang", of which he was now the only member Kiriyama had not killed. Sho has survived this long by sneaking round and using stealth, and had planned to stalk Kiriyama for as long as possible, knowing that Kiriyama would kill all he came across.

The medical clinic will have to be evacuated before 11pm. Noriko woke up shortly after 7pm, so the three of them had plenty of time to get out. Zone G=1 would have to be evacuated by 7pm, and I=3 by 9pm.

Hirono is seriously dehydrated from running away, and from the gunshot wound in her arm. When Oda disturbs her while she tries to drink from a well, and attacks her, she shoots him in the stomach. Little does she realise that his "weapon" was a bullet-proof vest, and he isn't dead. He climbs back up, and strangles her with his belt.

Answer: Sho

Shinji remembered Sho as "an annoying queer kid", who used to wind him up by asking him out on dates. Shinji didn't like Sho, but felt sorry for him that he'd been killed by his collar, after being caught in a forbidden zone.

Answer: Kaori Minami

Shuya told Hiroki about the deaths of Tatsumichi, Yoshio, and Kyoichi, while Hiroki tells them about the deaths of Takako, Megumi, Kazushi, Yoji, Yoshimi, Izumi, Hiroshi, Ryuhei, and Mitsura. Hiroki had found a lot of his classmates! Kawada tells Hiroki that Shuya witnessed the death of Kaori, and that Hirono Shimizu was the culprit.

When Hiroki told them about the deaths, they were, of course, horrified - particularly when they heard about Kazushi Niida having his eyes gouged out and his throat stabbed. When Hiroki told them that Megumi's throat had been cut, Shuya felt a particular pang of sadness, because he remembered how Noriko had told him about Megumi having a crush on him.

The first grenade is caught by Shuya before it hits the ground. Shuya throws it away from them, where it explodes, damaging Shuya's hearing. He knows he cannot get to the second one in time to catch it, but Kawada manages to shoot it in midair with his shotgun, making it explode before it reaches them.

This is the first point where Shuya and the others realise that Kiriyama is the one who killed Yumiko and Yukiko.

Answer: Bookshop

Shinji got into a fight after he and Keita had seen a movie at the cinema, and Keita made his excuses to leave, saying he left something in the bookshop. When Shinji managed to get away from the fight, he found Keita aimlessly wandering round the shop, pretending he wanted to buy something else. Shinji knew that Keita had hidden there because he was afraid, and lost all respect for him. Keita thinks that this is why Shinji won't let him join him and Yutaka, but it is actually because Keita will blow their cover and ruin their plans to blow up the school.

Answer: He's been shot

Noriko keeps seeing, in her mind, an image of Shuya with a red dot in the middle of his forehead. As she watches, blood starts pouring out, and she realises it's a bullet hole. Kawada tries to reassure her, and take her mind off of her worries, but the image won't leave her.

Mitsuko thinks that Hiroki can't shoot her because she's a girl, and she is partly right. Hiroki can't bring himself to kill her, even though he knows that she killed Takako Chigusa, and that she would kill him as soon as she had the chance. While Hiroki debated with himself whether or not to shoot Mitsuko, she stabbed him in the shoulder and ran away.

Answer: Ring finger

Hiroki shoots Toshinori and manages to shoot off his ring finger during their fight. Toshinori still had his bullet-proof vest, and he'd also acquired a motorcycle helmet, but Hiroki managed to shoot him in one of the few places he wasn't protected.

Answer: Tadakatsu does, Yuichiro doesn't

Mitsuko is about to kill Tadakatsu with her sickle, so that she can take his gun. She creeps up behind him, but before she can hit him, Yuichiro sees her and stops her. Tadakatsu wants to kill her, because she was about to kill him, but Yuichiro convinces him not to, and to keep her with them instead. Tadakatsu agrees, but only after she's been checked for weapons, and had her hands tied.

Answer: Her eyes

Yuichiro told Mitsuko that although he'd heard rumours about her and her exploits, he always knew she was a good person deep down, because her eyes could look sad and kind at times. Yuichiro doesn't realise that Mitsuko is just pretending to be friendly and nice to get him to release her, or that she would kill him the first chance she got.

Answer: Baseball Bat

Tadakatsu shoots Yuichiro with the gun. Mitsuko then throws the sickle at Tadakatsu, but it only hits his shoulder. She then kills him with the baseball bat, and manages to thank Yuichiro for protecting her before he dies.

Answer: Kawada was stabbed, Noriko was decapitated

Shuya dreams that he's back in school, just like normal, and thinks that all the events in the program were a nightmare. When he reaches his classroom, he sees all his classmates killed in the way he either witnessed, or how it was described to him by Hiroki.

When he sees Kawada, he has been stabbed multiple times in the chest. Noriko appears just to be slumped over her desk, but when he tries to touch her, her head falls away from her body. Shuya wakes up to find Yukie Utsumi has been looking after him.

Answer: Haruka Tanizawa

Yukie managed to meet up with her best friend, Haruka, before going back to the school to attract the attention of the others as they left. The first girl to join them out of the school is Yuka Nakagawa, but Yukie doesn't go back to the school until she has already been joined by Haruka.

Answer: Shinji Mimura

Yuko realises for the first time that her friend liked Shinji when she notices her crying over the announcement of his death. Shuya thinks that people seem to feel more intensely about people they may have only liked a little because of the extreme circumstances, and he thinks this is why so many girls, Yukie being the latest, seem to be admitting they liked him.
