Mitsuru went to meet Kazuo at the south peak, the same as the rest of his gang. While he was on the way, he saw Yoji Kuramoto, but the two didn't get into a fight. Mitsuru most likely wanted to meet up with Kazuo straight away, to see what his plan was.

Yuichiro thought about how pretty Mitsuko was when he was keeping watch over her. Mitsuko is described as being typically attractive by a number of boys in the class, but usually only when they are talking about how they're actually attracted to the girls who aren't so traditionally attractive.

Yutaka admits to Shinji Mimura that he has had a crush on Izumi Kanai for a long time. Shinji can't understand why he doesn't like one of the more attractive girls in the class, like Mitsuko or Takako, but Yutaka says that he thinks Izumi is beautiful in everything she does. It is this conversation which reveals the most information to us about Izumi, as she is not given much backstory within the story.

When Shuya asks if Yoshitoki likes Yuka, he laughs, and says unlike Shuya, he doesn't like fat girls. Shuya gets defensive and asks if he thinks Kazumi is fat, then backtracks and says she is plump. Kazumi is not in their class, she plays the saxaphone in Shuya's rock club.

Kazushi Niida is quite an unpleasant character, never wanting to take the blame for his mistakes, and always expecting people to do what he tells them to. While he is in the conflict with Takako Chigusa, she thinks that he is not unattractive, but his bad teeth, complete with multiple fillings, ruin his appearance. Otherwise, he is described as being quite tall, with broad shoulders and long hair.

In both the novel and the manga, Noriko is shot in the leg, but in the film version, she is shot in her left arm. She becomes ill with a fever as the game goes on, and Shogo Kawada is concerned she has blood poisoning, but luckily she doesn't. It's strange that the student who was injured before the game even began was one of the survivors.

Although it is well known that Hiroki Sugimura and Takako Chigusa were extremely close friends, and Hiroki describes Takako as being his best friend, Takako actually says that her best friend is Kahoru. Kahoru went to the same school as Takako, but fortunately for her, she was in a different class. They had been best friends for seven years.
