Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold, how did George Harvey die?

Answer: He was knocked out by an icicle and then froze to death.

"The Lovely Bones" is about a girl named Susie Salmon who was murdered by George Harvey. Throughout the book she looks down from heaven and watches her family and Mr. Harvey.

In the last chapter, Mr. Harvey got off of a bus at a pit stop in New Hampshire and followed a woman around a building. He tried to talk to her but she left, calling him a creep. When he turned to follow, an icicle fell from the roof and hit him in the head. He then fell into a ravine and froze to death.
2. According to Heck Tate, how did Bob Ewell die in "To Kill Mockingbird" by Harper Lee?

Answer: He fell on his knife.

"To Kill a Mockingbird" is about Scout Finch and her life in the 1930s.

Mr. Ewell is the father of Mayella, the girl supposedly rapped by Tom Robinson.

Although never said straight out, Arthur "Boo" Radley actually killed Bob Ewell. Atticus wanted to blame Jem for Mr. Ewell's death, but Heck convinced him that he just fell on his knife. If they had arrested Mr. Radley and put him on trial, it would be like killing a mockingbird. Mr. Radley never did anything to hurt anyone, just like mockingbirds.

Answer: All of them do
