1. What was the name of the horse D'Artagnan compared his horse to?

Answer: Rosinante

Rosinante was the horse of the hero in the book "Don Quixote". It was rather a sorry specimen.
2. What was the terrible wound that Athos had received which worried his friends?

Answer: A sword through his shoulder and into his chest

Athos was the only one wounded in the earlier fight with the Cardinal's guards, as before any of them had "time to draw their swords, two of them had been killed and Athos badly wounded." That is a quote from the book.
3. Who is the woman Porthos wants to marry?

Answer: A lawyer's wife

They probably already would be married, but they have to wait until the lawyer dies. They do finally get married at the end of the book.
4. What piece of jewelry does the queen give Buckingham?

Answer: Diamond tags

Cardinal Richelieu tries to encourage war between France and England by revealing the queen's secret affair, so manipulates Louis XIII into demanding that his wife wear the jewels he had just given her.
5. Why did D'Artagnan try to kill Count de Wardes?

Answer: To get his travel permit

It was also partly for revenge for a sword thrust from de Wardes.
6. When D'Artagnan found Athos in the cellar in the inn, how did Athos describe his state?

Answer: Dead drunk

When Athos is sad, he drinks. When he drinks, he gets sadder. The sadder he gets, the more he drinks. His drinking is worst in the summer.
7. When D'Artagnan goes to pick up Porthos, he finds him in bed. What is the cause of this?

Answer: A wound in his chest

Porthos met a stranger in the inn, and was offended by him. He went out bragging that the stranger was going to go down! After a few seconds of dueling, Porthos had three inches of steel in his chest.

Answer: A priest

In "Twenty Years After", the sequel, we find out that Aramis nearly became a priest, but learned to fight in order to get revenge on a man, and was forced to run away.
9. Aramis's lover was Madame de Chevreuse. What was her pretend relation to him?

Answer: Marie Michon, his cousin the seamstress

Later on, in "Twenty Years After", Athos has a son with Aramis's old lover. His name is Raoul de Bragelonne, the main character of the next few books.
10. D'Artagnan was, at one point, courting Milady. Who was it in her household who fell in love with him?

Answer: The maid

The maid's name was Kitty, and until the day she leaves the story, she still proclaims her love. He never returns it.
