Finwe was slain at very chamber that the Silmarils were kept at, and was the first casualty of the war with Morgoth. Feanor was slain by the balrogs outside of Angband, Ingwe lived in peace in Valinor, and Fingolfin died in a duel with Morgoth in which he hewed his foot before he was slain.
