Answer: Imrahil

Prince Imrahil of Dol Amroth had the same blood of Aragorn, and was of the line of Numenor. After the War of the Ring, Aragorn became very good friends with the prince of Dol Amroth, as did Eomer, King of Rohan.
2. What was the name of the leader of the forest men in Druadan Forest?

3. Who charged down the dike at Helm's Deep with 1000 foot soldiers to the aid of King Theoden?

Answer: Erkenbrand

Although the movie shows that Eomer charges down the dike, with horsemen, the books very clearly state that Erkenbrand, Lord of the Westfold did the charging. "...Down from the hills leaped Erkenbrand, Lord of the Westfold, with 1000 foot soldiers." The Two Towers... page 159
4. During the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, a force came out from a land to the near south of Minas Tirith. That force was led by Forlong the Fat, relative of Beregond. What was the name of the land that Forlong the Fat came from?

Answer: Lossarnach

Lossarnach was the closest land to Minas Tirith outside the Rammas.
5. The Witch King ruled over the evil witch realm of Angmar in the far north. This land stared Arnor in the face, and was a great menace to the world of men. The stronghold of Angmar is near the western end of the Mountains of Angmar. What is the fortress's name?

Answer: Carn Dum

Carn Dum is where the Witch King took refuge while back in his land of Angmar. This mountain was the last place the Witch King stayed before he fled to Dol Guldur in Mirkwood.
6. What are the two mountain ranges surrounding Mordor called?

Answer: Ered Lithui and Ephel Duath

Ered Lithui is the north border of Mordor, and it is called the Mountains of Ash. Ephel Duath is on the west side of Mordor, and it is called the Mountains of Shadow. These two mountain ranges nearly come together at the northwest tip of Mordor, but that is where the Morannon and Isenmouthe are.
7. Gollum fell into the Cracks of Doom while he was fighting with Frodo.

Answer: False

The part in the movie where Frodo and Gollum fight for the Ring at the Sammath Naur is completely made up. Gollum fell into the Cracks of Doom while he was jumping for joy, not fighting Frodo.
8. Where was Eorl the Young slain fighting orcs?

Answer: The Wold

Eorl the Young's years were shortened by a renewed attack of the Easterlings. Eorl fell in battle in The Wold, and the first mound was raised outside of Edoras.
9. The two most ancient and spectacular dwarven cities were in the Blue Mountains, just west of Arnor. What were the cities names?

Answer: Belegost and Nogrod

Belegost and Nogrod were cities of splendor during the first age of the world. They sent great armies to battle against Morgoth, and Belegost's leader, Azaghal, nearly slew the great Glaurung the Golden. But at the end of the first age, the changing of the world took place. Beleriand disappeared, and Nogrod and Belegost were laid into ruin.

Their great-great-great-grandchildren live now in Moria and the Iron Hills.
10. What was the chief city of Arnor when Elendil the Tall first established the realm?

Answer: Annuminas

It sat by Lake Evendim in the Realm of Arnor in the north. Annuminas was the chief city of Arnor when Elendil the Tall first founded the kingdom. It was later changed to Fornost, which is directly west of Annuminas, due to the ancient city falling into ruin and chaos. That ruin and chaos was created by none other than the Lord of the Nazgul.

Answer: Angren

Angrenost is the real name for Isengard, and the river that runs by Isegard has nearly the same name as the city, Angren.

Answer: True

The last living child of Ungoliant was Shelob, the inhabitant of the Stair of Cirith Ungol.
14. Name the hideout that Faramir took Frodo and Sam to in "The Two Towers".

Answer: Henneth Annun

Henneth Annun lies very close to Mordor, but no orc or Nazgul can find the refuge of the men of Ithilien. In the book "The Two Towers", Frodo and Sam stayed for quite a long time at Henneth Annun. The movie, however, showed them having just a short stay at the hideout of Faramir.

18. Name the second and innermost gate of Mordor.

Answer: Isenmouthe

This gate is behind the Morannon and behind the dark land of Udun. It is the strongest of the gates of Mordor, and is nearly equal to the gate of Angband and Thangorodrim.
19. What is the name of the mountain to the west of Ered Mithrin?

Answer: Gundabad

Mount Gundabad is a large mountain that is on the northern most part of the Misty Mountains.
20. If you go up the Anduin from Osgiliath, you would arrive at an island in the river. This island has an outpost that was held by Gondor (for a while) during the War of the Ring. What is the name of the outpost on the island?

Answer: Cair Andros

Cair Andros was taken as Faramir fell back from Osgiliath. As he fell back, all the forces of Gondor were within Minas Tirith, and there was a small force at Cair Andros. All the forces of Mordor bore down on Cair Andros, and it cracked, and fell to the 600,000 strong army of Mordor.
