Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who is the unmentionable hunk that "pops" into Stephanie's apartment in the "Between-the-Numbers" novels?

Answer: Diesel

Stephanie is used to strange men appearing in her apartment, but Diesel is unlike anyone Stephanie has ever met before in her life. He is mysterious, sexy...and he has his own agenda. He has special powers, and a mission to instil some Christmas spirit into Stephanie's life. So why is he more interested in helping find a little old toy maker who has skipped out on his bail right before Christmas?

Whilst vice cop Morelli and mystery man Ranger both mess up her heart, life and pulse on a regular basis, Diesel is on another plane entirely. She's almost sure of it.

Bob used to share Stephanie's apartment, but now prefers to live with Morelli. He is, of course, a dog. A dog that eats everything, including couches, carpet lint and toilet paper.
2. Someone discovers they are pregnant in "Visions of Sugar Plums". Who is it?

Answer: Valerie

Yes, Stephanie's perfect sister Valerie is pregnant to Albert Kloughn. Who would ever have thought someone who looks like the Pillsbury Doughboy could become a father? Now Valerie's worried the poor kid will look like a dinner roll!

Stephanie had a pregnancy scare when Morelli's Grandma Bella put the eye on her, but luckily for everyone's sanity it was a false alarm.

Sally Sweet? He's a guitarist in a rock band and famous for dressing in women's clothing.

Mrs Plum get pregnant? That could be fun.
3. Who has failed to appear for their court date in "Visions of Sugar Plums" and is being chased down by Stephanie?

Answer: Sandy Claws

Sandy Claws. Real name: Sandor Clausen. Sandy also turns out to be the "unmentionable" that Diesel is after. Sandy owns a toyshop, hires elves to make toys and lives with his sister who bakes cookies all day. And he is associating with a guy called Ring whose powers are going whacko...and is Grandma Mazur's latest stud muffin.
4. Which bond-jumper is on Stephanie's most wanted list in "Plum Lovin'"?

Answer: Annie Hart

Annie Hart is a "relationship expert" wanted for armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. But it turns out the charges are bogus and someone else wants to find Annie even more than Stephanie does. Someone with a nasty temper and "unmentionable" skills. Diesel knows where Annie is and agrees to help Stephanie, provided she helps Annie complete her Valentine's matches first. So Steph becomes matchmaker to several of Annie's most difficult clients. And she must be successful, before Valentine's Day is over.
5. In "Plum Lucky" a short guy wearing green pants is chasing Grandma Mazur. Who is the little dude?

Answer: Snuggy O'Connor

Snuggy thinks he is part leprechaun, is lucky, can disappear at will and can talk to animals. He's lost a giant bag of money, but the problem is: the money was already stolen money, and it isn't exactly lost. Stephanie's Grandma Mazur has found it, and is happily feeding it into the slot machines. Snuggy wants the money back to pay for an operation for his friend Doug...the horse. And local mobster Lou Delvino wants his money back. Period. And he will stop at nothing to get it.
6. Yet another wayward skip is being tracked down by Stephanie in "Plum Spooky". Who is in her crosshairs this time?

Answer: Martin Munch

Martin is a twenty-four year old genius with a doctorate in quantum physics. He is wanted for stealing a cesium vapour magnetometer and not showing for his court hearing. Enter Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter extraordinaire (not!). Unfortunately for Stephanie, Martin has paired up with Wulf Grimoire, a charming fellow who kills remorselessly, thinks blowing up a building is playful and wants world domination.
7. It's wedding time in "Plum Lovin'". Who's getting married?

Answer: Valerie and the clown

It's Kloughn. K.L.O.U.G.H.N. Attorney-at-law. Kind of. He wants to marry Valerie but faints at the mention of marriage. So Stephanie hatches a plan. She tells her parents she's marrying Diesel and arranges the wedding at their house. With some last minute switching and threats with the stun gun, the race is on to marry Kloughn and Valerie before he passes out, and before their baby is born.

Diesel bravely goes through with being the pretend groom, but mostly in the hope of getting a conjugal night with Stephanie.
8. In "Plum Lucky" Doug is unlucky enough to be kidnapped by Lou Delvina and held to ransom. After he is rescued he needs somewhere to hide. Where does he hole up?

Answer: Both of these

Doug originally tried Grandma Mazur's Winnebago, but decided it wsn't the best place for him. It wasn't because he didn't trust Snuggy's driving, there just wasn't enough room for a horse. So Stephanie hides Doug in her apartment, until the other tenants complain about horse flatus in the lift.

She then arranges for Doug to stay in the garage of the RangeMan building and let's Ranger's merry men protect him.
9. Stephanie is forced to baby-sit in "Plum Spooky". Who does she find sitting outside her apartment?

Answer: Carl the monkey

Carl belongs to Susan Stitch who originally failed to appear in court in "Fearless Fourteen". Susan thinks a honeymoon is no place for a monkey, at least not this monkey. Carl's a monkey with an attitude and he isn't afraid to use rude gestures. He eats junk food and coffee, and is learning to play Super Mario Bros. And he uses the bathroom. Susan thinks Stephanie is just the person to look after her monkey. Problem is, Stephanie finds it hard enough to look after herself. What is she supposed to do with a monkey?
10. A munchkin by the name of Randy Briggs gave Stephanie a hard time back in "High Five". Now he's back in two of the "between-the-numbers" novels. In which two of these novels does Randy appear?

Answer: Visions of Sugar Plums and Plum Lucky

In "Visions" Stephanie is tracking down Sandy Claws who has skipped out on his court date, but he's on the run and she is having trouble finding him. When he posts an ad in the paper looking to hire toy makers, elves preferred, Stephanie pays Randy to pose undercover for her.

In "Plum Lucky" Grandma Mazur has come into some money and heads off to play the slot machines. Since her licence was revoked and the RV she bought was built for a little person, Grandma gets Randy to drive her.
