Of all the students playing the game, Kazuo was undoubtedly the most dangerous, and definitely the one you would least like to run into!

Yukiko and Yumiko Kusaka both attended the Halo church, though neither of them were particularly religious, they saw it as more of a social gathering. They became best friends after they started chatting at the church.

Although we can assume that Kazuo is given some sort of bladed weapon to begin the game with - as his first victims have all been stabbed - it is never actually revealed what his assigned weapon was. He picked up the machine gun from one of the people he killed (most likely Ryuhei Sasagawa, though that is unconfirmed).

The Diver's Knife belonged to Megumi Eto, and is never taken by Kazuo, and the Paper Fan is what is given to the Kazuo Kiriyama character in the "Battle Royale" film.

Yukiko was issued not only with a set of darts, but with a toy dart board too! She saw this as a tasteless joke. This is contrary to the "Battle Royale" film, which shows that either Yukiko or Yumiko was provided with a megaphone - in the novel they find the megaphone while they are exploring the island.

Kazuo decided that if the coin came up heads, he would take on Kinpatsu Sakamochi, and try to overthrow the organisers of the program, and if the coin came up tails, he would play the game to win, and kill anyone who got in his way. I think we all know which side the coin landed...

Kazuo had excelled at playing the violin, and played it to an even higher level than Toshinori Oda. As soon as he had become as good as he could be, he discarded the violin, satisfied that he had reached the highest possible level of expertise with it.

We know Yumiko is shot first, because Shuya Nanahara and Noriko Nakagawa hear her screams of pain before they hear Yukiko's. Their screams are amplified across the island by the megaphone, which is discarded next to them.

Like a number of girls in the class, Yukiko had a crush on Shuya Nanahara. Yukiko and Yumiko discuss their crushes before they resolve to try to unite the class.

Mizuho Inada was shot with the Beretta, Izumi Kanai, Hiroshi Kuronaga, and Ryuhei Sasagawa were stabbed. All of the other students were killed by his machine gun, which sounded like the rattling typewriter. Although it took Shogo Kawada a while to die, he still died from the wound from the machine gun.

Shuya, Noriko, and Shogo thought Kazuo was dead, but he was actually just stunned, and had been saved by the bullet-proof vest he had taken from Toshinori Oda. While they were distracted, Kazuo tried to approach them again, only to be shot by Noriko. While he was on the floor, Shogo walked over and finished him off, with a final shot to the head.
