The late comedy actor Leslie Nielsen (1926-2010) played Count Dracula in Mel Brooks' comedy film, "Dracula: Dead and Loving It". Nielsen is known for various comedy roles such as Detective Frank Drebin in "The Naked Gun" movies as well as the doctor on "Airplane!". Gary Oldman played Dracula in "Bram Stoker's Dracula", whose performance is parodied by Nielsen's character.

Thomas Renfield is played by Peter MacNicol, who appeared in "Ghostbusters 2" and "Ally McBeal". In the original novel, it was Jonathan Harker who visits Dracula in the opening, but in "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" it is Renfield. Renfield visits the count in Transylvania to finalize his purchase of property back in England.

The Count's mistresses attempt to seduce Renfield in his guest room during a hilarious scene. The Count later hypnotizes Renfield making him his servant.

In "Dracula: Dead and Loving It", Dr. John Seward was played by the late Harvey Korman (1927-2008). Korman had starred in many of Mel Brooks classic films, such as "Blazing Saddles" and "History of The World: Part I". In "Dracula", Dr. Seward punishes his patients by sending them off to get enemas.

When Renfield becomes Dr. Seward's patient, his antics cause him to receive several enemas.

Lysette Anthony plays Lucy Westenra, a young woman who lives with Dr. Seward and his daughter Mina (Amy Yasbeck). She develops a crush on the count when he introduces himself to her at a local opera house. She falls victim to the Count and becomes very ill leading Dr. Seward to contact Professor Abraham Van Helsing.

Answer: How to perform an autopsy

We are introduced to Professor Abraham Van Helsing (Mel Brooks) as he's teaching a class of medical students how to perform an autopsy. In the funny scene, he shows them how to cut the cadaver open leading several students to pass out. He then starts pulling out the cadaver's intestines which knocks out a few more. One student is left standing and he eventually passes out after Van Helsing smashes open the cadaver's skull and hands him the brain.

Answer: It wasn't. He was having a daymare.

After feeding on Lucy's blood, Count Dracula thought her blood had cured him of being a vampire and that he was free to move about in the daytime. He passes by people having a picnic and they offer him some wine. A confused Renfield asks the Count why he's awake.

He tells him he's cured, but Renfield says he isn't. Dracula then starts to disintegrate and he starts to panic. He wakes up from his coffin, and breathes a sigh of relief as it was only a "daymare".

Following Lucy's death, Count Dracula seeks to court Mina Seward to be his next victim and his new bride. He goes to her home and attempts to lure her outside. He hypnotizes Mina and at the same time hypnotizes the maid. The hilarious scene has the Count trying to get the right woman to come out, leading to them running into one another.

The Count gives up and goes to get her himself, though he comes out with the maid by mistake and rushes back in to get Mina.

Jonathan Harker (Steven Weber), Mina's fiancée, is tasked by Prof. Van Helsing to drive a stake into the heart of Lucy's body to cure her from becoming a vampire. As Jonathan reluctantly goes to perform the deed, Van Helsing goes to find cover. Jonathan hits the stake twice and is drenched in a geyser of blood each time. Van Helsing emerges still completely clean and hands Jonathan a tiny handkerchief to clean himself up with.

Answer: Csardas

Mina and Count Dracula are dancing at a party. When the characters expose him to a mirror, he casts no reflection and Mina looks like she's dancing with herself. Seeing the crowd's reaction, the Count believes they're enjoying the show. He calls for the band to play a Csardas (a Hungarian folk dance) and the Count and Mina perform stunning dance moves, while exposed to the mirror.

It's only after the dance when the Count realizes he's been revealed.

After Mina is rescued from Dracula in the last scene of the film, the Count transforms into a bat and hides in a dark corner of the ceiling to escape the sunlight. The idiotic Renfield tears a hole in the roof, blinding the Count and causing him to fall to the ground. He shouts obscenities at Renfield as he crashes into the floor and disintegrates into dust.
