Answer: Eight Legged Freaks

'Eight Legged Freaks' also stars Kari Wuhrer and Scarlett Johansson. The spiders become large and have an appetite for destruction due to an accidental ingestion of toxic waste. It starts when a boy named Joshua goes down to the town swamp to get crickets to feed to his many exotic spiders.

The crickets have already ingested the poison, which of course is passed on to the pet spiders once consumed. This causes them to become very large and very deadly. Anyone who is a fan of horror/comedies, and who has not seen this movie yet, might want to check it out. Very entertaining!

Answer: Judas Breed

Mira Sorvino plays the role of Susan Tyler. She creates this insect to kill the roaches, for they are carriers of a disease that is responsible for killing children. The Judas Breed does this by releasing a powerful enzyme that works to speed up the metabolism of the roaches, eventually killing them. Tyler breeds this species to have a lifespan of only a few months, so that they will die out after serving their purpose.

This plan does not go the way it was expected, to say the least.

Answer: Tarantula

'Tarantula' is about a Professor named Gerald Deemer, who invents a nutrient for animals that will make them grow way beyond their normal growth size. This is so as to prevent a shortage of food because of the Earth's increasing human population. When his researchers try out the nutrient, one of them goes mad and frees his already over-sized lab animals, including a tarantula.

The spider, which eventually grows to a gigantic size, then freely roams and terrorizes everyone. Clint Eastwood's cameo role is at the end of the film. Leo G. Carroll also stars as biological researcher, Gerald Deemer.

Answer: They're Creeping Up On You!

'Creepshow' was directed by George A. Romero, also famous for 'The Night of the Living Dead', 'Dawn of the Dead', 'Day of the Dead', as well as many others. E.G Marshall plays the role of Upson Pratt in this segment. He is a hermit who locks himself in his apartment because of his fear of germs.

Some would say he gets what he deserves at the end, considering his cruel manner towards people. Stephen King's real life son named Joe plays the part of the young boy named Billy that you see in the beginning of the film.

He gets berated by his father for reading a horror comic called 'Creepshow'.

Answer: The Thaw

Val Kilmer plays the role of Dr. Kruipen. He leads an expedition in the arctic where these parasites are discovered. They are first inhabiting the thawed-out body of a prehistoric Woolly Mammoth, before eventually getting under human skin. When the research students arrive at this expedition, things are already going very bad. One by one as they each become infected by the bugs, they begin to turn on each other. Dr. Kruipen's daughter, Evelyn, is one of the students on the mission.

She and the other students try to stop the parasites from reaching the rest of the world and possibly ending civilization.

Answer: Ticks

Ami plays the role of Dee Dee Davenport. She and other teens are terrorized by these giant arachnids while camping in a wilderness campsite. The ticks become enlarged due to a herbal steroid that is used by marijuana farmers to speed up their plant growth. 'Ticks', which also goes by the title 'Infested', also stars Peter Scolari, Seth Green, and Clint Howard. Dolenz is the daughter of Mickey Dolenz from the musical group, The Monkees.

Answer: Starship Troopers

Casper plays the role of Johnny Rico. This movie takes place in the future, where the alien race known to humans as "Bugs" are taking over by destroying much of the Earth's population. It is up to Johnny and the rest of his Military Unit called the 'Mobile Infantry' to destroy the bugs, and end their reign over mankind.

The film also stars Neil Patrick Harris, Jake Busey, Patrick Muldoon, and Denise Richards. In 1998, 'Starship Troopers' was nominated for an Academy Award for visual effects.

Answer: The Fly

'The Fly' was written and directed by David Cronenberg. Jeff Goldblum plays the role of scientist Seth Brundle. He invents a set of telepods that allows him to transport items from one pod to the other. When he decides to try it on a human, and gets into the telepod himself, a fly gets in as well.

This is when things go very bad for him, as he over time starts turning into a fly. Geena Davis plays the role of Veronica Quaife, his love interest.

Answer: Them!

The insects in the film turn out to be gigantic ants. James Whitmore also stars as a police sergeant in New Mexico. He is on a case to find an FBI agent and his wife who are missing. Their young daughter is found wandering by herself in the desert. She is unresponsive and unable to speak, due to what she had seen.

When a doctor eventually manages to bring her out of her shocked state, she begins screaming, "Them!" This classic film was nominated for an Oscar for its special effects, and won the Golden Reel Award for Best Sound Editing in a motion picture.

Answer: Arachnophobia

Jeff Daniels stars as Dr. Ross Jennings. He and his family move into a new home that eventually becomes infested and over-run with hoardes of spiders. It starts when a very large spider from the Amazon makes its way to the family's barn next to their house, and mates with a small common house spider.

This produces a nest that spawns a queen, who also winds up mating, and eventually produces several more nests in the barn. John Goodman plays the role of Delbert McClintock, the town exterminator, who is called to duty to eliminate the pesky arachnids.
