Answer: Artim

Artim is the son of Sojef and the boy Data is following. At first Artim is hesitant to be around Data because he is an android. But they soon develop a fast friendship. Artim asks Data if he plays every day and Data explains he plays chess and the violin. Artim says that is not what he meant.

He means does Data have fun every day. At the end of the movie we see Artim and Data playing hide-n-seek in a haystack. When Data leaves, Artim tells him to make sure he has fun every day.

Answer: Kelbonite

There are heavy deposits of Kelbonite in the mountains that interfere with the tricorder. Later on when the villagers are fleeing to the mountains, they follow the Kelbonite deposits to keep the Son'a from beaming them off the planet. Lithium crystals are used in the warp core. Ketracel White is a drug used by the Dominion to control their troops.

The Son'a supply the Dominion with Ketracel White.

Answer: A submerged holoship

Data drains the lake and they find a Federation holoship that had been submerged. The ship has a holographic copy of the Ba'ku village in it, leading Picard to deduce that someone had planned to move the Ba'ku from their village without them knowing it. While in the ship a Son'a Warrior fires at Picard, Data, and Anij. They return fire and hit the Son'a warrior.

Answer: The planet's rings

The Son'a intend to harvest the radiation from the rings in order to use it for themselves. If they do this, the planet will be made uninhabitable. This is why they want to move the Ba'ku off the planet before harvesting the radiation. Admiral Dougherty had agreed with this plan, until it started to unravel with the interference of the Enterprise, and he finds out the Ba'ku and Son'a are related.

Answer: The sunrise

For the first time in his life Geordi can see through his own eyes. He knows the experience probably won't last. Before he loses his ability to see with his own eyes, he wants to see the sunrise. He tells Picard, "It may not last, and if it doesn't, I just wanted before we go...you know I've never seen a sunrise? At least, not the way you see them."

Answer: Sojef

Sojef is the leader of the Ba'ku and the father of Artim. When Picard comes looking for answers, he is the one who explains that they left their home world hundreds of years ago when it was locked in a destructive war. Because they believe it was technology that led to the war, they have removed it from their daily lives.

The metaphasic radiation has reversed the aging process for all of the people.

Answer: Anij

Anij answers Picard's question by saying, "I just haven't got around to it yet." There is definately a spark between Picard and Anij. At one point he tells her, "I should warn you - I've always been attracted to older women." By the end of the movie Picard promises to return to spend his shore leave with Anij.

Answer: Ru'afo

Ru'afo is the leader of the Son'a. Anthony Zerbe was originally considered for the role of Ru'afo but when F. Murray Abraham came on board Zerbe was switched to Admiral Dougherty. Some reviews saw the character of Ru'afo as a return of sorts, for Abraham, to his Oscar winning role as Salieri in "Amadeus". Both villians share common traits. Ru'afo will stop at nothing to accomplish his goal of harvesting the metaphasic radiation, even if it means killing the Ba'ku.

In the same way, Salieri is seen as the evil antagonist to Mozart. Salieri would stop at nothing in attempting to undermine the budding genius.

Answer: The Romulans

The Romulans are never mentioned by Ru'afo. While talking to Admiral Dougherty, Ru'afo says, "Federation support, Federation procedures, Federation rules... look in the mirror, admiral... the Federation is old... in the last twenty four months, it's been challenged by every major power in the quadrant - the Borg, the Cardassians, the Dominion... they all smell the scent of death on the Federation. That's why you've embraced our offer... because it will give your dear Federation new life."

Answer: Seeing his home planet from space for the first time

As Anij and Picard are discussing what a perfect moment is, he recalls the first time he saw Earth from space. He seems to drift off as he tells her of the experience. While watching his reaction she says, "Yes. Exactly. Nothing more complicated than perception. We've discovered that a single moment in time can be a universe in itself, full of powerful forces. Most people aren't aware enough of the now to even notice." In a later scene, Anij does something and time seems to stand still for her and Picard. Before he gets a chance to ask for an explanation of what just happened they are interrupted.
