Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When The Joker goes to propose his idea for killing Batman, a man asks why he shouldn't have one of his boys rip his head off. What does the Joker do?

Answer: Makes a pencil disappear, but really puts it up a guy's skull

The man's friend gets angry after that and says he will give $500,000 dollars for the Joker dead and $1,000,000 alive. This leads to the Joker faking his death to tell the man that he works for him and also the story of his scars, before taking the guy's men to kill Batman.
2. The Joker has scars on both sides of his face. How did he get them?

Answer: He tells one person his father gave them to him, but later tells Rachel that his wife got cut up and he wanted her to feel normal, so he cut his mouth.

It is unknown which of these two stories is true. He finds it fun to tell people different stories. When the end of the film is nearing, the Joker says to Batman, "Do you want to know how I got these scars?", but he never finishes the rest of the story.
3. In the middle of the movie, the Joker crashes a party at Bruce's house, looking for Harvey Dent. He sees Rachel and calls her beautiful. He tells her the story of his scars and what does she do?

Answer: Kicks him in the groin

"A little fight in ya...I like that." said by The Joker. Batman shows up soon after and fights the Joker. The Joker grabs Rachel and drops her out of the window, which is very high up. Batman saves her, but when he returns, the Joker is gone.
4. Because of the Joker's killing, what does Bruce decide to do and what happens?

Answer: Turn himself in, but before he can do so, Dent tells everyone he is Batman

Dent does this to bring the Joker out of hiding and to keep the real Batman out of trouble. However, the Joker finds out that Dent is lying when Batman comes in to interrogate him while Dent is in jail for turning himself in.
5. Batman goes in to interrogate the Joker after arresting him for trying to kill Dent. He asks him why he wants to kill him and the Joker laughs and says he doesn't want to kill Batman. Why is that?

Answer: He says Batman completes him.

"You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness. And I won't kill you because you're just too much fun." The Joker also reveals later that he won't kill Batman because he's too much fun. Batman is a little shocked by the Joker's choice of words. He is shocked because he wants Batman to kill him and go over his limits.
6. The Joker reveals to Batman that Rachel and Dent have been taken to two separate parts of the city, and they are too far away for Batman to save both. He tells Gordon to go after Dent, while he goes after Rachel. What happens?

Answer: The Joker switched the spots, so Batman saves Dent instead.

Because of what the Joker did, Batman saves Dent, but Gordon can not get to Rachel in time. The bombs explode, killing her and this leads to Dent going crazy.
7. While trapped, gasoline spills on the left of Dent's face and the bomb goes off, burning that side of his face. He gets entered into the hospital and gets released. He is driven to madness over the loss of Rachel and who does he exact his revenge on and why?

Answer: The cops, Batman, and Gordon - because the Joker told him that Gordon didn't get to Rachel in time and Batman saved Dent instead.

Dent becomes Two-face after learning what he thinks is the truth. The Joker tells him that Batman and Gordon are responsible for Rachel's death and leads him to threaten one of Gordon's friends. He tells her to call Gordon's wife to tell her to take the kids.
"Dent, where is my family?!"
"Where my family died."
Gordon asks Dent where his family is and Dent response meant that the spot where they are was where Rachel died.
8. Who plays the role of the Joker and who plays Batman in "the Dark Knight?"

Answer: Heath Ledger and Christian Bale

Heath Ledger was found dead in his NYC Apartment on January 22, 2008. Surrounding his body, were prescription drugs and sleeping pills, which caused his death. It was an accidental overdose, but because of this, the Joker was his last completed role before dying. This was Christian Bale's second Batman movie.

Batman is the hero of Gotham City and when he saw his parents get shot when he was young, he wanted to save the town from criminals. He feels he has a duty.
The Joker is the main villain of the sequel. He is a murdering psychopath who finds joy in killing and wants Batman to take off his mask and turn himself in, otherwise he will kill people.
9. The Joker puts two different groups of people on two ferries. One is full of citizens and the other is full of criminals. On each ferry are explosives. He tells both groups that in order to save themselves, they will have to blow up the other ferry or he blows both of them up at midnight. What do the people do?

Answer: The criminals throw the remote out and the citizens put it back in the box.
