"Angie" is track number five on side one of their 1973 album "Goats Head Soup." The song was originally written by Keith Richards. Rumours at the time said that Mick Jagger had written the song, and the song was about the relationship Jagger had with David Bowie's wife Angela. Jagger denied this.

"Tequila Sunrise" is track four on the Eagles second album, "Desperado." The song was written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey. The Eagles was very successful in the 70s, with five number one top hits and six number one albums. Between 1975 and 2008 The Eagles have won Five Grammy awards; the first being (1975) Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus: "Lyin' Eyes", (1977) Record of the Year: "Hotel California" (single), (1977) Best Arrangement for Voices: "New Kid in Town", (1979) Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group: "Heartache Tonight", and the latest one being (2008) Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals: ""How Long."

Answer: Charlie Rich

"The Most Beautiful Girl" was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and also charted on the UK singles chart. Other hits for Charlie Rich in 1973 was "Behind Closed Doors", taken from the album of the same name, reaching number 15 on the US Hot 100 and making the number one position on the US Country chart. The second album released in 1973 was Tomorrow Night.

Answer: Stevie Wonder

From the album "Talking Book" released in 1972, "Superstition" was Stevie Wonder's second American number one chart topper, the first being "Fingertips - Part 2" released in 1963. Stevie Wonder also hit the top spot in 1973 with "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", which also charted at number six on the UK singles chart.

Answer: Stealers Wheel

From Scotland, the band was formed in 1972 by Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty. "Stuck in the Middle" was the bands biggest hit. The album Ferguslie Park was released in 1973. Stealers Wheel disbanded in 1975. Gerry Rafferty released his first single as a solo artist in 1978, with his song "Baker Street." The song reached number two on the Billboard Pop Singles chart and peaked at number three on the UK singles chart. Egan released his first solo single in 1979, titled "Back On The Road".

The single had a little success but never had the impact of Gerry's release.

The second single by Egan "Out Of Nowhere" was a flop. Joe Egan is no longer in the music business. Gerry Rafferty however has released eleven albums from 1978 to 2006.

Answer: Elton John

Taken from the album of the same name, the double album "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" is the seventh studio album from Elton John. Well known singles from the album are "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting", "Bennie and The Jets", "Candle In The Wind (UK) and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." The Rolling Stone magazine's ranked the album 91 out of the 500 greatest albums of all time (2003)

The single was released in 1972 and charted at number ten in the U.S. and number five in the UK. "Hi, Hi, Hi" was banned by the BBC in England for its suggestive lyrics. Songs from the band could be either "Wings" or 'Paul McCartney & Wings'; I never could work out why the name changes, maybe you know!

Taken from the bands second album "Moving Waves" the single reached number nine in the U.S. and peaked in at number 20 in the UK. The song was written by Jan Akkerman and Thijs van Leer. The American punk rock band The Vandals did a cover of the song on their album, "When in Rome Do as the Vandals."

Taken from the album "Talking Book" the single reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was written and produced by Stevie Wonder. The song has had over 25 cover versions by various artists. "Higher Ground" also released in 1973, made number one on the U.S. Hot Soul Singles chart. Stevie Wonder has won 26 Grammy Awards as a solo performer, and has had over 30 top ten hits both in the UK and America. Just a few of his top hits are, "Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday", "Sir Duke", "Do I Do", "I Just Called to Say I Love You", and "Happy Birthday." Stevie Wonder has also had eight albums that reached the top ten in both the UK and America.

Answer: Elton John

In America, "Daniel" reached number two on the pop charts and number one on the adult contemporary charts. In the UK it reached the top 5. Elton john's sixth album "Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player" reached the number one position in the UK and American album charts.
