Answer: Tomorrow Never Knows

The seagull noise at the start of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' is a distorted tape of Paul laughing. John wanted to write something like an LSD trip, and he wanted his voice to sound like "a thousand chanting Buddhist monks" sitting on a mountain-top, and his voice was fed through a Leslie speaker. John was disappointed with the result, and wished that he'd hired actual monks.

Answer: Taxman

For those who didn't know, a Beatles cartoon was created. During a bit that was set in the time of Robin Hood, the song Taxman was featured. Also, the guitar solo played in 'Taxman' was used in 'Tomorrow Never Knows' played backwards.

Answer: I'm Down

This song was Paul's attempt at writing a Little Richard Rocker. It went on to replace 'Long Tall Sally' at the end of their live-shows.

During the White Album sessions, Ringo stormed out at some point, and went to a beach. There he met a fisherman who reminded him of the gardens that octopus' build. "They go around the sea-bed picking up stones and shiny objects to build gardens with, and at the time I wanted to be under the sea too. I wanted to be out of it for a while."

George wrote this in his house on Blue Jay Way. His friends were supposed to come and visit, but became lost in some fog. Some poeple believe that the line "Please don't belong" was an instruction to drop out of society, but it is just George telling his friends not to "be long".

This song won the Ivor Novelle award for being the 'Most Performed Work Of The Year'. They didn't attend the awards show, so Ross MacManus (Elvis Costello's dad) ended up singing it.
