The Primitives first formed in 1984 in Coventry, England. They disbanded in 1992 after the poor showing of their 1991 album "Galore". They reformed seventeen years later, but without one of their founding members Steve Dullaghan who passed away the year before.

Their first album "Lovely", released in 1988, reached sixth place on the UK album charts and the lead single "Crash" reached fifth place on the UK Singles chart and third place on the U.S. Modern Rock Tracks chart. "Cars" was the debut single by English musician Gary Numan recorded for his 1979 album "The Pleasure Principle". It reach top position on the Canadian Singles chart, as well as the UK Singles chart and also managed a top ten position on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was covered by the band Fear Factory, but their version only managed a sixteenth place on the U.S. Mainstream Rock Chart in 1998. Eurythmics, made up of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart, released nine albums from "In The Garden" in 1981 to "Peace" in 1999. "Touch" was their third album released in 1983 and reached top position on the UK Album chart. "Here Comes the Rain Again" was one of three singles released from the album and it charted at fourth position on the US Billboard Hot 100 and US Hot Dance Club Play charts.

Hurricane Irma was a Category 5 hurricane which made landfall in Florida on September 10th, 2017. Over six and a half million people were evacuated, practically a third of the state's population. The Marlins/Braves game took place two days prior. An official from the Braves gave an apology to a "Miami Herald" writer, stating that the song was part of the Braves playlist when playing at home. This is not the first time the song caused controversy. In 2006, cheerleaders from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played the song at halftime during a Buccaneers/New Orleans Saints NFL game in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

"Rock You Like a Hurricane" was recorded in 1984 for the Scorpions album "Love at First Sting".
