Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the inspiration for the song "My Black Dahlia"?

Answer: A story about a girl who had been murdered

According to Artist Direct, J-Dog said he wrote "My Black Dahlia" because he had heard a story about a girl who had been brutally murdered. Many people thought this song was about a boy who killed his ex after she dumped him.
2. What song includes the lyric "Medication for the kids with no reason to live"?

Answer: Young

Johnny Three Tears and Deuce sang this song. "Young" was a track off the band's debut album, "Swan Songs" (2008).

In my opinion, this was a very personal song; sad but hopeful.
3. What was the first song released off of Hollywood Undead's debut album "Swan Songs"?

Answer: Undead

"Undead" reached the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 26. An instrumental version of "Undead" appeared in "GI Joe: Rise of Cobra" commercials. "Undead" was the band's biggest hit from their first album.
4. Which band member is easily identifiable as he is the only one that usually wears a bandanna rather then a mask?

Answer: Charlie Scene

Charlie Scene rapped all of the main verses in "Everywhere I Go". He also performed in "Undead", "No.5", "Paradise Lost", and practically every other song on the album "Swan Songs".
5. Which member of the group sang in all of the choruses on "Swan Songs", but later left the band?

Answer: Deuce aka The Producer

Deuce was kicked out for reasons unknown, although there were rumors that he showed up drunk onstage and was sent to jail. He was recognized as having pink tape over his mouth on his mask.
6. In which song did Deuce tell all the kids in the 'hood to "wave and shake their hands"?

Answer: No.5

In "No.5", the band sang about dancing and getting drunk. The only member that didn't speak in this song was J-Dog, who was recognized for having a dollar bill over his mouth on his mask.
7. Only one original member is not from Hollywood, but is from Inglewood instead. Who is it?

Answer: Charlie Scene

I first wondered about this after listening to "Christmas in Hollywood", where one lyric says "It's Hanukkah in Inglewood, the dreidel's spinnin' in the 'hood." Funnyman did the voice of Santa Claus, who was proud of the rest of the members for being so 'messed up'.
8. What is Johnny Three Tears' real name?

Answer: George Ragan

George Ragan= J3T
Jorell Decker= J-Dog
Jorden Terrell= Charlie Scene
Aron Erlichman= Deuce

J3T sang all verses in "Young" and "Paradise Lost". Johnny Three Tears explained that Hollywood Undead's debut album's name was ironic, because a "swan song" is the song a swan sings right before it dies. In Hollywood Undead's case, however, it was the album that brought them to life in the mainstream. J3T also sang the first verse in almost all of the songs on this album. On his mask, he has the number three under his right eye and a butterfly surrounding his left eye.
9. What genre of music does Hollywood Undead perform?

Answer: Rap-rock

As you probably have guessed, their music has been very popular in California, where it has been played on the radio very often. The band formed in Los Angeles, California.
10. On which social network did the band begin posting their music, eventually getting signed to a record label?

Answer: Myspace

Myspace helped launch their career. Exposure from the website enabled them to land a record deal.
