Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which Beatle song are these lyrics from? "You don't look different, but you have changed". Choose one of the songs that you think is the right one.

Answer: I'm Looking Through You

From the album "Rubber Soul" from 1965. "Rubber Soul" was one of their first albums with a different sound and creative songwriting. For example, "Norwegian Wood" was the first Beatle song which included sitar in it and "Michelle" was their first song which included French lyrics.
2. From which song are the following lyrics from: "And nobody seems to like him, they can tell what he wants to do"?

Answer: The Fool on the Hill

This song is from "Magical Mystery Tour" which was released in 1967. The album "Magical Mystery Tour" had the most magical, random and weird songs in my opinion. "The Fool on the Hill" is also in the Beatles movie called "Magical Mystery Tour", and all the other songs on the album's A-side can be heard in the movie.
3. Please choose which song these lyrics are from: "And in her eyes you see nothing, no sign of love behind the tears"?

Answer: For No One

From the album "Revolver" from 1966. This album was truly one of the most important album's in the band's history. Many firsts were taken on during the recording of this album. For example, the song "I'm Only Sleeping", was one of their first songs that included backward-sounds.
4. "Lift up your hearts and sing me a song that was a hit before your mother was born" is from what song?

Answer: Your Mother Should Know

Another one from "Magical Mystery Tour". An interesting song with a classy sound and with piano as the lead instrument. In the movie "Magical Mystery Tour", you can see the Beatles sing this song while dancing in white tuxedos. Interesting fact; all The Beatles, except Paul, wore a red rose as an accessory while Paul's was black.

This was one of the "clues" that fans said proved that "Paul was dead".
5. The lyric "Messrs. K and H assure the public their production will be second to none" is from which song?

Answer: Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!

From the great album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" from 1967. John Lennon got his inspiration for this song from a circus poster from the 19th century that he found in a shop, and all the lyrics of the song came from that poster. The only thing he changed was that the horse in that circus was called Zanthus, and not Henry like he does in the song. Because of this, the song was banned from the BBC because John included the words "Horse" and "Henry" into the same sentence, and those two words are slang for heroin.
6. "Bright are the stars that shine, dark is the sky" are lyrics from which Beatle song?

Answer: And I Love Her

This song is from "A Hard Day's Night" from 1964. This is one of the most beautiful and moving songs by the early Beatles, in my opinion. The lyrics are touching too. In the movie "A Hard Day's Night", you can see Paul perform this song.
7. Please choose the right answer for the following lyrics: "The sun is up The sky is blue It's beautiful And so are you".

Answer: Dear Prudence

This one is from "The Beatles" from 1968, more commonly known as "The White Album". The "White Album" is The Beatles only double album, containing 30 songs.
8. The lyrics "Should five percent appear too small, be thankful I don't take it all" is from which song?

Answer: Taxman

This one is from "Revolver" too. "Taxman", written and performed by George Harrison, was his first song to become a hit. He wrote the song to complain that the taxman was taking too much of our money. This is one of The Beatles songs that complained against something big that they didn't like, which was risky thing to do at that time.
9. "He got monkey finger, he shoot Coca Cola" is from which song?

Answer: Come Together

From the album "Abbey Road" from 1969. A song with pretty interesting lyrics and cool sounds. It also contains a little bit of blues in it, and was written and performed by John Lennon. Many people thought that this song was about Paul McCartney, because it contained "clues" that proved that it was about him and that he was dead. People of the 1960s could really find weird clues that didn't make sense in a lot of songs.
10. Which song contains these lyrics? "How could she say to me, love will find a way?"

Answer: You've Got to Hide Your Love Away

This song is from "Help!" from 1965. This is one of my personal favorites by The Beatles. Also performed in the movie "Help!". The song has a little bit of country style in it, and there's no drums playing, only tambourine. And flute. Just like "Magical Mystery Tour" and "A Hard Day's Night", the songs on the A-side of the album can be heard in the movie.
