Dave Mustaine was fired from the band just before the album "Kill 'Em All" was recorded so Metallica decided to write their own version of "Mechanix". Mustaine was still given credit for "The Four Horsemen". The original version of "Mechanix" was later released by Megadeth on their debut album "Killing Is My Business...And Business Is Good".
