A big hit for wings in the UK, spending 9 weeks at the top of the singles charts. The single released on November 11th, 1977 peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Wings were formed in August 1971 by the ex Beatle Paul McCartney. Other members of the band were his wife Linda McCartney, ex-Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine and Denny Seiwell. In late 1971 Jimmy McCullough also joined the band. Other chart hits for Wings in 1977 were "Maybe I'm Amazed", peaking at number 28 on the UK singles chart and number 10 on the BB Hot 100.

"So You Win Again" was the bands only number hit on the UK singles charts, spending three weeks at the top in July 1977. The song was written by Russ Ballard even though Errol Brown was the song writer for the band. Other songs penned from Russ Ballard that were chart hits was Rainbow's "Since You Been Gone" and "I Surrender". Ballard also wrote "I Know There's Something Going On" a solo track from Anni-Frid Lyngstad, the female singer from the group ABBA.

The single reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982.

Answer: Foreigner

1976 saw the formation of the band Foreigner. Formed in New York City by Mick Jones the ex member of Nero and the Gladiators and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald. The last member of the band was singer-song writer Lou Gramm.

"Cold As Ice" reached the number 6th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 24 on the UK charts. The bands first album "Foreigner" was a huge success spending one year in the album charts. Tracks from the album were "Feels Like the First Time", "Cold as Ice" and "Long, Long Way from Home".

"Dreams" hit the top spot on June 18, 1977 and peaked at number 14 on the UK singles chart. The song was written by Stevie Nicks, the girl friend of guitarist and singer Lindsey Buckingham, a member of the band.

Released February 4, 1977 the album "Rumours" became one of the best all-time selling albums, reaching around 30 million sales worldwide. Tracks from the album include "Dreams", "Don't Stop", "Go Your Own Way", "The Chain", and "Gold Dust Woman". In 1978 the album won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

"Walk This Way" was a track from the band's third album "Toys in the Attic", which was released on April 8th, 1975. The single peaked at number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted on the UK singles chart. The song was written by Steven Tyler, the lead singer and Joe Perry, the bands lead guitarist. Other band members were Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Ray Tabano. Brad Whitford replaced Ray Tabano in 1971.

The fifth album by the band was "Draw the Line", released December 1, 1977. "Draw the Line" was also the first single taken from the album that charted in 42 position on the Billboard Hot 100. Two other singles were released form the album, "Get It Up", which failed to chart and "Kings and Queens" which only managed 70th place on the Billboard Hot 100.

Carly Simon was born in New York City in 1945. Carly Simon's career began as a double act with her sister Lucy, the duo was known as The Simon Sisters. The duo had a little success before Lucy left to get married to David Levine and start a family.

The first album released by Carly Simon as a solo artist was simply titled "Carly Simon" released in 1971. Other albums from Carly were Anticipation, 1971, No Secrets, 1972, Hotcakes, 1974, Playing Possum, 1975, Another Passenger, 1976. No album was released in 1977. The next album released was in 1978 titled "Boys in the Trees".

Released as a single from their album "Hotel California" the song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and charted on the UK singles chart. Band members in 1977 were Glenn Frey - guitar, vocals, keyboards, Don Felder - guitar, vocals, Joe Walsh - guitar, vocals, keyboards, talk box, Randy Meisner - bass, vocals and Don Henley - drums, and vocals. 1977 saw the Eagles win two Grammy awards. Record of the Year: "Hotel California" (single), and Best Arrangement for Voices: "New Kid in Town". The group disbanded in 1981, but got together again in 1994. Since the band reformed they have toured intermittently.

The Eagles released the album "Hell Freezes Over" in 1994, which hit the number one spot on the Billboard album chart.
