Born in Wapakoneta, Ohio, Neil Alden Armstrong became the first human to walk on the moon when he stepped out of the Apollo 11 'Eagle' on July 20, 1969.

Chelsea won the first ever replayed F.A. Cup Final 2-1 at Old Trafford 18 days after the two teams had drawn 2-2 at Wembley. Leeds were managed by Don Revie and Chelsea by Dave Sexton. Sexton went on the lead Chelsea to victory in the European Cup Winners' Cup the following year.

He later managed QPR, Manchester United and Coventry City and had two spells at the manager of the England Under 21 team. He was awarded an OBE for services to football in 2005.

Born Ermes Effron Borgnino in Hamden CT, Ernest Borgnine won the Best Actor Oscar in 1955 for his performance as Marty Piletti in "Marty".
