Where as in most religions "Satan" is the evil ruler of hell and the personification of all things bad and nasty and evil, Satan in Satanism is the personification of a force in nature that we don't have a name for.
He represents the human instinct and the force in nature that strives to make us succeed in life, whether this is in reproducing or in survival of the fittest. Satan in Satanism is the "Spirit of Progress".

Yet again another false! Satanists do not believe in hell. They don't believe in the standard Christian hell, nor is there a different kind of hell or heaven within the Satanic religion. Satanists believe that life begins and ends on earth. We are given one life to enjoy for 70 - 80 years and then you die.
