1. In 2002 and 2005, the Richmond captain wore the number 17 guernsey. This is in honour of which legend?

Answer: Jack Dyer

After the sad death of Dyer it was agreed by the entire Richmond board that from then on the captain would wear the number 17 guernsey in honour of Jack Dyer. He was well known for his aggression, giving him the nick name "Captain Blood."
2. Which one of the following players played at three different teams between 2002 and 2005?

Answer: Blake Caracella

During this period Blake Caracella has played for Essendon, Brisbane and now Collingwood. Trent Croad played for Hawthorn then went to Fremantle, but is now back at the Hawks.
3. Which two players were knocked unconsious in the 2000 Melbourne vs Essendon Grand Final?

Answer: Brad Green & Troy Simmonds

Both players was knocked out in collisions with Essendon players. Dean Rioli who knocked Brad Green out was suspended for two games for rough play.

In round six 2005, Fremantle had no cheer squad, this is very rare in the AFL as in most cases the smallest a cheer squad ever

Answer: Collingwood

Jason, Cameron, and Travis Cloke all play for Collingwood. Jason had been there for a while, Cameron for a couple of years in 2005, and was Travis' first year. In round six 2005, they all played in the same game and made history when the ball went from one to the other to the other.

Answer: Height & weight

Spider got his nickname from being so tall, but also skinny at the beginning of his career when he was at St.Kilda. A past teammate decided that his height and weight made him look like a spider and since the club nicknamed him Spider, it has stuck.
9. A 2005 player could have played soccer for Manchester United. Who was he?

Answer: Brad Green

The same year Green was drafted by Melbourne he went to Manchester United and trained with the team. He got offered a position at the club but decided AFL was what he wanted to do as a career.
10. When was the first merger in the AFL?

Answer: 1990s

This was between the Brisbane Bears and Fitzroy Lions during the 1990s.
