Answer: Ty Cobb

The others won 4 titles, while Cobb blistered his career with an amazing 12. 9 of those 12 titles were in consecutive seasons, from 1907-1915. Cobb's last title came in 1919. When Tony Gwynn retired in 1997, he was 2nd all-time, tied with the great Honus Wagner with 8.

To hide Grant, McGraw listed him as a Cherokee Indian named Tokohama. Charles Comiskey, owner of the White Sox, put the brakes on this with Major League baseball.

Ebbetts Field was the Dodgers' ballpark, and all the other teams listed were American League teams. June 15, 1938, saw Johnny Vander Meer no-hit the Brooklyn Dodgers 6-0. Four days earlier, Vander Meer threw a no-hitter against the Braves. Vander Meer was the first to throw consecutive no-hitters, and the first in history to throw 2 in the same season.

The Hall opened its door in 1936 with 5 baseball legends. They were Honus Wagner, Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson, Ty Cobb, and Christy Mathewson. Cobb was inducted with the highest vote percentage of 98, while Johnson was the lowest with 84.

The others listed had not started their careers yet in 1965. Koufax of the Dodgers threw 4 no-hitters in 4 consective seasons from 1962-1965. On Sept 9, 1965, he was perfect against Chicago at Dodger Stadium.

Answer: Joe Mauer

Joe Mauer won three batting titles in the AL - 2006, 2008 and 2009. The other three never played a full season in the American League.
Bubbles Hargrave of the Reds was the first NL catcher to do this, in 1926, then Ernie Lombardi did it twice. Lombardi won his first for the Reds in 1938, then did it again for the Braves in 1942.
10. What position did Brooks Robinson play?

Brooks played his entire career with the Orioles for 23 seasons. He earned an astounding 16 Gold Gloves for third base play. He also hit 20 or more home runs, 6 times throughout his career.
